Let's see if Drogba can reproduce last years form before we finalize our judgements. If I remember rightly Crouch has more goals/min than Drogba last year!!!!!!!!!!The Crushing Machine MKII

I think it's fair to say that he's shocked me with how quick he's adapted to the Prem.
I didn't know if we'd get another Morientes or a top deal - but if Torres keeps playing like he has been then he'll go down as a great. I can really see it. Fast becoming my favourite player. I'd be here all evening if I had to write why I rate him so highly!!

The big difference between Drogba and Torres - one which is the most vital one in my book - is that he's got class on the pitch and off the pitch. Drogba is the worst cheat I can recall in the past few seasons, a horrible horrible footballer, he's so good he doesn't need to cheat yet he does it IN EVERY ****ING GAME, he admitted it on National TV in a post-match interview, he SMILED at the crowd a few times after he dived at Anfield this season and that is reason alone to never, ever, ever compare him to a world-class footballer. A horrid comparison, I am so glad our club is so graceful from top to bottom.Originally posted by flava View PostI never said that, I think Torres is a more classy player. I don't wanna really hijack this thread by talking about Drogba, but he's currently one of the best strikers in the world, and I would swap him in an instant for Crouch - seeing as you mentioned him. But, I wouldn't swap him for Torres.

I never compared them, so I don't know where you got that from.
I don't like Drogba, i've already said that, but it doesn't mean I can't appreciate how good a footballer he is.

Crouch is liked by everyone in our squad, Drogba is loathed by everyone in our squad. You might swap them in an instant, however there is more to player recruitment than solely footballing skills.Originally posted by flava View PostI don't wanna really hijack this thread by talking about Drogba, but he's currently one of the best strikers in the world, and I would swap him in an instant for Crouch - seeing as you mentioned him. I actually cannot appreciate how good a footballer he is because of aforementioned points raised.
(I furthermore want to add that the original post I made was not in any way directed at you (ie. the comparison bit didn't stem from your post

With those stats I just wanted to give some perspective to those that think Drogba is invincible. But like you I wouldn't take him over the Torres that we've seen to date.
