I think people knew that fella, just thought it was a bit of a ****e thing to say regarding the fact he had never kicked a ball for us.

Your main gripe with him, like many others on here was that he was free, doesnt do a stepover, and isnt a "big name".

Just give players a chance in future to prove themselves, or you can quite possibly end up making a **** of yourself.

I just didn't think he was any better than Kuyt or Crouch. I still don't. I think he will soon be our fourth choice when Rafa gets over whatever going on in his head RE: Crouch and then he may very well get pissed at lack of oppurtunities ALA Crouch at the min and wish he never came.

On current form alone, he is better than kuyt and crouch though if you look at his goals return.

And as for him being 4th choice striker, that is what we signed him for so I dont see the problem.

Neither does he, as he has bust a gut to rapidly move himself up to 3rd choice.

Eto is not as good an all round player as Torres.

I think eto would score more goals than torres but I think torres' all round technique is better so I guess I agree

Fact is though Nic you are so quick to blow your trumpet over Torres it makes you look stupid.

Why? Torres is 20mill + worth of talent. No offence but you had a fair chance of getting that one right. But

Voronin was free and thereforee free for ridicule cos he surely had no chance.

So if you go off blowing your own trumpet (as you have in this thread) for predicting that one of the most highly rated players in Europe actually starts playing good footy you have to expect members of the forum to check out your post history.
