Yes, there has been teething problems. But surely this happens with every new appointment in any large organisation. There are big egos everywhere (Rafa not withstanding) & it SEEMS that the owners are trying to appease the ****storm that happened. Put it down to experience & hope that that the dust settles as the big swinging dicks are holstered once more.

To condemn the downscaling in the stadium at this stage is a little rash. Can we still not hope that the re-re-revised stadium will be awesome? Just wait and see - you might be surprised. In the mean time how can we judge it till we see it? It makes no sense to. Anyway, have you seen the prices of raw materials these days? It's a bit like the residental housing mkt here.....Up Up Up & away.... fueled by India & China. So the cost will have gone up & we're not talking about monopoly money here.

It's after the January window closes that we will begin to see clearer indications of the situation. Will Marsher have signed?....a new defender perhaps? Or will we be peering longingly at the orange in the bottom of our santa stockings? Perhaps Rafa will be leading us to a (heaven forbid) title challenge?

Good post. I think you're wasting your time with some people on here though. Rather than wait for the facts, yes facts, something none of us have, they want to have a go.

It's an 'I want it and I want it NOW!!!!' Attitude.

Tom, I'm not here to have a go at you mate but this thread really is quite laughable. You come on here and tell anyone who'll listen that we're doomed because you were told so but you can't give the information out. Then when people pull you up on it you start getting really defensive.

How are people supposed to agree with you and see your side if you don't pass any of the info on? It's laughable really. I don't doubt for one second that you may have info and have heard things and if you have and are going to start a thread about then the least you can do is share the info.

At the moment though all you're doing is scaremongering, as you have all year infact. You seem prepared to have a go at the new owners at the drop of a hat. Remember the night you even started a thread saying how reliable the count was over on TLW? And that was all a negative slant. I'm not saying you're 100% wrong but I don't think you're 100% right either.

All this about Mascher being badly treated could be right but again how are we supposed to belive you if you wont share the info?

Until you're prepared to divulge facts on certain things perhaps you shouldn't mention them, eh? Maybe then people wouldn't be jumping down your throat.

of all the doom mongering posts I have seen, and after seeing peoples reactions afterwards, people getting stressed out and worried. Not one of them were true.
If for one will not believe a word of any of the bullcrap. there is no way people know exactly what GG & TH have planned, it only makes sense to make the club successful in the long and short term, they simply have to if they want the club to generate funds. Lack of investment on the pitch could lead to lack of champions league football and other performance related royalties. The new owners are hardly going to let the club rot away.
Also, who could blame them for re-assessing their situation with regard to the new stadium, it would be naive if they didn't.

I guess the crux of this thread has little to do with what's actually happening, as few, if any of us, are close enough to the club to know what's going on.
But there's definitely an air about the way things have been happening lately that's somewhat unpalletable.

Whether there's some grey emminance behind all the media coverage, whether Parry is only in it to secure his own position, it feels like there are no fans in charge anymore. The one thing you could never accuse Moores of was not loving the club.

I've felt a slight loss of passion lately that has little to do with results, and I suspect Tom feels the same. I won't be abandoning football in the way I did during the Souness era, when I'd rather have spent a day in the studio than watch a cup final, but lately I've been less interested in the sports news, and I've come on here less.

That's not to say I didn't screem my head off at the Man U game.

We may or may not have not lost our club with the way business seems to be being done, but it seems increasingly likely that if things carry on being done in a 'non-liverpool way' then the club will certainly lose a few of us.

Didnt the club also sign Gerrard, Carra, and Alonso to long term deals wih increased wages as well? In addition to Torres the club signed Babel. Would LFC have spent 11.5 million on a 19 or 20 year old in the past? Moores had to loan the club the money to buy Kuyt ffs.

If this latest stuff in the torygraph is tru about delaying the larger part of the loan for the stadium well good! Why load the club with debt in the middle of a credit crisis and when the US dollar is so *****d? Things may well improve in the next 12-18 months. They only bought the club in Feb. Yes they spouted crap but their yanks and people werent marching in the streets when they were about to take over the club. And Im quite sure they made no promises about Chelsea like spending.

So....when was the count proved right? When have you been proved right? You're speculating and telling people a fraction of a story. Perhaps in future you should divulge all the information rather than a fraction of it. Maybe then people could see where you're coming from.
