We didn't splash any cash in the summer. We spent pretty much what we normally spend. And less than Sunderland as it happens. But I'm not going to repeat that argument ad nauseum.

Not even going to bother answering. Rafa got incredibly pissed off about nothing then. Perhaps he had toothache?

cya, pointless wasting my time on here.
Tom, come on now, we are all adults.
What krt is saying is that alot has been said that has not come true, and in the mean time, everyone gets all stressed out over something that may never happen.
He is well within his rights.

'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

In all seriousness, I think Tom has every right to post what he likes without any vitriol or slagging off, but by the same degree other posters have every right to debate what he's said, or question / ask for more details. Its surely the point of a forum

Now it's getting really melodramatic, it's like end-of-term at Sylvia Young's in here

FFS Tom, grow some balls. After a tirade to posters about posting negative opinions about the team, you've posted a load of negative information - all of it speculation in the press over the last few weeks - and an attack on the owners with a title of 'we've lost our club' ( ) and apparently you didn't expect a reaction?!

May be you're right, we won't spend a penny for a year and the stadium will be a 5000-seater based on Goodison, but in the meantime actions speak louder than words.
                Quote of the year :

"With monkey me, dogface dishwasher bitch and chimp the ****ing champ you. We are turning into a raving party here arent we"

The count was spot on. Nobody expected us to have a netspend of 20mill in May. We all thought it would be more. When the count came out in primo July and said that we had no extra money most people said he was a tosser. He was spot on! We had a window we could easily have had under Moores. That's a fact.

We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the drugs began to take hold.

fella, you come along, and post a thread of some of the most ironic nature i've ever seen.

No melodrama, even though you soon find its the most melodramatic thread seen in many a year.

nobody has given you any abuse, there has been no slagging off, just questions.

agree on all points - excellent post

but this is the internet ffs, not the house of ****ing lords, the limits of whats fair game have to be set very very wide.

I recall from my KT days that tom can be very sensitive. i didnt like his riddles - or rather the fact he never provided solutions (other than 1 occasion - when he confirmed a poster called liverfool had figured something right). I get the impression that hes genuinely upset by whats happening to our club and thats coming out in this thread and his response to the usual "banter".

I dont love lfc any less but i just dont believe things are that bad. god knows weve seen worse days.....

remember when this was our centre forward instead of this next guy:

We would have signed Heinze had United not blocked the sale. That can be added to the figure.

There's been sniping at though, as if questioning his reputation. He could be a tad sensitive but I can understand him being fed up when he's been genuinely passing on what he heard.

Sooo..... The yanks are in this for a profit eh? I think they deined this when they came in, stating that their love of sporting franchises and success was more important, but I doubt any of us believed that then.

It may come as a suprise, but the Glazers at Man Utd are also only in it for profit, but they seem to be chugging along rather nicely. Any one who had bought us out would only have been in it for the profit, the only one who would not have was maybe Steve Morgan, as he is a true Liverpool fan.

But as proved at Man Utd, you only make a profit with a successfull club. Anything less and you miss out on the big money. So whoever is in charge, it will always be in their best interests to speculate to acummalate, which the yanks look like they are doing with all the increased loans.

I think the biggest problem for us has been the slump in the US market, but that will no doubt pick up in time, it's always swings and roundabouts with regards to the strength of the dollar to the strength of the pound or the Euro.

I would say that my advice to other LFC fans would be to remain calm and see what happens in the near future. After all, whether we like or not, the yanks are here to stay and they are the only ones who can decide what they do with the club.
                                Forwards.......
