Maybe not entirely irrelevant but I think DIC are probably likely to be far more swayed by things like bottom line, etc., while players are professionals who go where there's money, prestige, a chance of trophies and a manager they respect. I don't think the Board matters too much to players.Originally posted by Red Chilli View PostWhat about potential investors? What about potential signings? Are they irrelevant?.
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Well we're discussing it and it's nothing personal against you. Less of the douche or WUM comments would ensure the discussion continues on a sensible route.Originally posted by Red Chilli View Post
In any case, it's a terrible article, I've given my reasons, if you or anyone else don't like it then T.S.
Again RC, you're victim of your own undoing.
And I bet you won't like that.

But would players want to join, or stay at, a club where there is so much perceived unrest between the manager and the board?Originally posted by Neil Young View PostMaybe not entirely irrelevant but I think DIC are probably likely to be far more swayed by things like bottom line, etc., while players are professionals who go where there's money, prestige, a chance of trophies and a manager they respect. Would investors in the STADIUM look at the split between the board and the manager and the fans and think twice about the security of the loan?Originally posted by Gordon Brown

Obviously at the margins these things make a difference.Originally posted by Red Chilli View PostBut would players want to join, or stay at, a club where there is so much perceived unrest between the manager and the board?

However, you're assuming there is no truth to the story. If there is then the fact that Brian Reade has written about it is unlikely to make much difference. I think it's highly likely there would at least be rumours within the game even if they weren't public knowledge..

Touching on a point mentioned earlier, whilst we as a club have been through some hard and barren spells in the past never have I found Sky tv and the majority of its staff so ****ing annoying in their constant negative attitude towards us. Its so bad its becoming good, its just constant and really makes me wish we had a competitor, a worthy one, to the cunts. Sky for me recently has really ****ed me off.

Is there any need to contribute to it further then, by publishing another article on it?Originally posted by Neil Young View PostObviously at the margins these things make a difference.

I don't think Tom pictures it as doom and gloom. It's just that he probably knows more than some of us and trusts his sources.Originally posted by enema of the state View Postaye private fraser, doomed, doooooooommmmed

actually, in the long long list of crises there have been since Dalglish's resignation, were doing pretty fcuckin well.
The doom and gloom comes into the picture certainly when some of us start slagging off Rafa for a draw against Wigan and thinks he's too stubborn or whatever.
It's so easy to dispel doubts. Show us the money.
