Good questions. What a mess we are inOriginally posted by lucas10 View PostWho is the biggest con man in this deal?
Questions
1. Royal Bank of Scotland
Why they offer a short term loan to G&H and not to David Moores?
Does it mean our CEO, Rick Parry does not know where to source for financing?
Moores has no other income streams and had no cred as a businessman = lack in confidence
2. Rick Parry
Which side is he on? Is he on the Boards side who try to block the move to place debt on Liverpool's book? Or he is the one who knew all along this would happen?
Who knows. I suspect he is doing his best to rectify this massive blunder.
Who prepared the contracts for Klinsman? KOP Ltd Lawyers
If G&H managed to sell for 80 million profit, David Moores & previous shareholders should kick themselves for believing in Rick Parry. The club were undervalued by Rick Parry. If true (and i agree) why did DIC dick around
3. Who leaks the information that DIC planned to sell after 7 years?
Prime Suspects: Rick Parry
He has a lot to gain as he can keep his job by sabotaging DIC bid.
Possibly, most likely on what we know which is little. I think it could of been Gillett and Hicks. Something we more than likely will never know.
4. Is all those promises documented?
Build new stadium, no debt on Liverpool's book and etc. This is really a joke if it is all lip service. Agree if true
I really can't see Rick Parry as an innocent party of all these saga.
He's definitely not innocent. It's the degree's of guilt that is unknown.
Perhaps, he is the greatest betrayal of Liverpool FC. He is in the know of all these issues. He never blew the whistles (unlike the Marscherano deal). He obviously loves his salary more than Liverpool FC.
No, that would be Tom Hicks
Parry, Please leave with the American.

Hang on AF, the way i have read this it is a combination of cash up front and assets secured against the loan as previously reported (bar the assets).Originally posted by AFII View Post
It looks like it all depends on Gillett. He isn't that rich so I doubt that he can come up with a £75m cash security.
You really need to learn to stick to transfer targets and tribull links.

Because they felt they had an agreement which Moores went back on - it was a matter of trust and principle for them. These things are incredibly highly valued in the Arab world.Originally posted by Sir Bob View PostBasically DIC is the investment arm for Sheik Mohammed. Whilst the man is an undoubted winner (anyone who follows horse racing will know all about him) I still believe they will essentially want LFC to make money.
If money was no object and it was all about glory why didn't they simply offer another £30 or £40m and blow G&H out of the water. Lets face it, it would hardly break the bank for them.
I remember when it looked like DIC would buy LFC, listening to Brough Scott, a well known and respected racing journalist. He has very close links to Sheik mohammed and set up the Racing Post paper with him. He said that whilst DIC would want LFC to be no.1, it would be have to be financially viable. There's no way he thought the Sheik would simply throw money at the problem.

Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Ah, but according to what we read here and there, Moores was obliged to consider the other rival bid, down to comittments to the shareholders.Originally posted by DJS View PostBecause they felt they had an agreement which Moores went back on - it was a matter of trust and principle for them. I reckon DIC got the escape plan they needed as they weren't prepared to up their bid.
The bummer that might have pissed them off was not informing DIC that LFC was gonna have a meeting with other bidders, when apparently DIC had asked to be kept in the loop.

What concerns me is that even if DIC are "waiting in the wings" as has been fairly widely speculated, how long will they wait give the Septics at the club & what will the cost be to us in the meantime?
As well as our dignity, will we also lose our manager & key players who have come to Pool specifically for him (Xabi & Monsters)? How far will the Yanks have run us into the ground before DIC step in?
Of course you could argue that DIC wont want to have the club too damaged before they take over, but you could also say that that will decrease the valuation price, allowing them to buy the club on the cheap.
However if Rafa is still around at this stage, I do not see why Ansari (who is a fan at least in name) would see fit to replace him immediately without giving him any funding whatsoever if DIC are gonna invest in the team. Surely against such a further background of change, we need to maintain managerial stability?3rd place. Worst champions ever.
