A boycott is clearly the only way to make any impact on G&H. The only way thing they understand or are interested in is money. Imagine the impact of a home game with Anfield half empty, say only 20,000 turning up. That would give the Yanks something to think about and would hit home more than a million ante G&H chants and online petitions.

It'll never happen of course but its the only thing that may make them sit up and take notice.

I hope it never happens and I hope we are not those kind of fans.

I am seriously considering a boycott, I really don't want to line their pockets. But what you've just done is illustrated just how hard that is.

        Exactly, Marios.

I think, even if you don't like the owners, you'd find it hard to miss out on matches.

Say we get past Inter and draw Barca your first reaction would be 'I want to to go' because no matter what, who owns the club, who plays or who's manager, your a supporter and you always will be.

SpeedyG has made a good point on one of the other threads, it is a partial win for the fans that they have put the purchase debt on Kop football and not the club.

So people don't want to line G&H's pockets, but wouldn't mind lining another investor's pockets.

say they have a plan on 90% stadium occupancy - this includes financing players to keep this 90%
we get that down to 50% thier plan goes out the window - they then have to re finance, no new players we;d be ****ed and by us.
Its times like these we learn to live again FF

Before the plan got into full swing they ****ed up royally numerous times but after that the learned and went on. Would you be happy knowing that the plan didn't work because we all did what you suggest?

I know these guys are idiots, I don't want them near the club but if they intend on staying there is nothing we can do about it except hope their plan is as above.
Its all fantasy mate I'm afraid. G&H haven't ****ed up at all, they are doing exactly what they planned to do all along. They've burdened the club with debt and will build the stadium, then sell to the highest bidder on the back of 70,000 bums on seats. there will be minimum investment in the team and the manager will change every 2 seasons or so to keep the pressure off them.

Thats the future as I see it

I'm not supporting the Yanks here or anything but we've been in a mess for a long time now. I don't just mean a few years but like the last 10-15 years or so.

We've had **** teams year in year out and we haven't been able to compete for the league which is what we all want at the end of the day. Don't get me wrong, the night we lifted the CL was the best night of my life, something I never thought I'd see EVER in my lifetime.

I was with my ex that night and it's a night I'll never ever forget, it will live with me forever. But at the end of the day we have to move on. I, along with everyone else on here was hoping that the G&H wouldn't be succesfull with their re-financing bid but in the real world it was never not going to happen.

At the end of the day we're LFC, we ARE the greatest club in the world with the greatest fans in the world. We need to keep going whether you choose to support the yanks or not that's entirely up to you. I won't be supporting them directly but I do know that they'll bring us a decent stadium and we'll be back where we belong, at the top tier of world football. Keep supporting the team and we'll come back stronger than ever before.

People can laugh at us for now but we'll have the last laugh. YNWA.

My personal boycott achieves very little in all likelihood, it's more for my own personal integrity than anything else.

I don't think these guys have any grand plans to make LFC great and considering they intended to replace Rafa with Klinsmann I cant believe anyone would think that either.

I'm not imploring people to boycott, that's up to you to decide. For me and for my own conscience, I just dont feel I can give my money to these people.

My point exactly. Us and the cub are the ultimate losers and not them. A boycott is a bad idea.

I've been saying that for ages

See my other post on that thread though, much depends on how 'fluid' the flow of money is from LFC to Kop Holdings, particularly when we don't make a profit...

It basically comes down to. Do you love Liverpool more than you hate G&H. I love Liverpool more

There will be very few new players anyway mate. Its not the lost revenue from 1 match that will hit them, its the possibility of a half empty stadium every week that worries them.

It'll never happen as people will always want to go to the match. G&H know that however poorly the team is doing anfield will sell out every week. They've got us by the balls.
