It is not over yet lads.
DIC will make an offer, as far as it is known, they have not made an official offer to buy the club yet.
They know, aswell as the rest of us that H&G will want to try and raise the value of the club a bit more before selling.
I have a feeling DIC will now think the time is right to make an offer. If not, they should be coming out very soon with a statement that they are not interested.
Personally I think they will. If they do, it remains to be seen if the offer will be big enough for G&H to accept.
Lets keep our fingers crossed for that little bit longer.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

Erm. If Hicks and Gillett do what Oliver Kay says they are going to do. Then that's pretty good isn't it?

Finance = sorted, with the purchase debt funded by their own cash and guarantees
Stadium = sorted, final plans unveiled and a definite building plan that we can afford
Rafa = despite past differences, he is totally backed from now on, and here's Mascher to prove it

Is there not a case for better the devil you know? DIC would be a leap into the unknown, and would still be interested in profit above all else. If our owners actually deliver on the above, then surely that should be about the best we could expect short of finding our own Abramovich with more money than sense?

      Or is it just me?

They've pissed me off no end, but what are people seriously hoping for as a best case scenario here? For me it's the above. Does anyone really think the arabs are going to ride into town carrying camelfulls of cash to spend?

Do you honestly think they wouldn't know "how things work"?

This grass is greener **** is really naive.

The fact is he had no contact with them at all and that was my point (not the flippant phone comment), Ansaari is quoted saying just that. You can call Anssari a liar if you like but you can't call DIC unprofessional from walking away when they couldn't get through to Batman or Robin for days, now, is the "phones off" technique something that has ever been mentioned about these 2 in any other situation?

It's not grass is greener **** either, it's about not all of a sudden saying wait and see.

go to the link attached to the blog from across the pond and read their ****ing fan comments and don't tell me to wait and see.

That's ****ing naivety of the absolute highest order. Keep playing your instruments on the titanic lads.

Or did I dream that, cos I ain't going back through this lot. I'm not sure that the 'GAME OVER' has appeared yet.
I'm pretty sure that is the story I've heard as well...whether on here, another board, or the angels flying above me each evening.

To be honest, I don't think this is over yet. I think that everything happening has been managed and calculated and that the press has been used to convey a certain story. We shall see, but I still have hope.

I know fella, I'm sorry I hadn't read some of the posts you'd previously put I apologise.

I see where you're coming from in that they're in charge and that we just have to see what they're going to do. I'm just pissed off mate.

i don't think this matter to begin with, i think they'll still sell. maybe not tomorrow but soon. there was never any doubt that the loan would be approved, Hicks would never have taken a risk with his reputation like that, if it had been shaky he would have sold immediately, he has enough assets as do the club to refinance. the point is how much more money they've got to take the club forward...

Of course it's all unnerving mate.

But this refinancing is the first significant step in God-knows-what direction.

                        No it isn't mate.

David Moores selling the club last year to foreign businessmen was unnerving, that's when we were stepping into the unknown.

This is just a continuation of that uncertainty.

To be fair I don't think anyones jumping for joy at the news but, as you rightly say, we all want the best for the club and boycotting matches etc... isn't the way forward.

It could be argued by some that this is why we are all so negative about it, one constant in our lives for years has been LFC and how it works, that has now changed and as a whole people don't like change.
Personally I just hate the way the yanks have treated the club.

My plan is to hit them in the pocket by boycotting matches and merchandise. I accept that very few would be willing to do likewise, probably only an insignificant amount that would make no difference to G&H, but that's what I'll be doing. I'll still support my club, but I'll be doing it without giving the cowboys a penny. I'll be damned if I'll make financial contributions to the compensation they'll have to pay when they sack Rafa, and I'll be damned if I contribute towards paying off the debt they've gotten into by buying the club. They're not coming in, using our club as a door mat and expect me to pay for it and subsidise their American frnachises in the process. It's a matter of principle now, and a matter of the greater good.

I advise everyone on here to wake up and realise just what sneaky, slimy, greasy snakes these two are. Don't be taken in by the upcoming PR blitz and the big promises. These ****ers are wolves looking to fleece fans.

Just think instead of him getting so angry with us all for "chilling out" he should tell us what his plan is. As you say boycotting matches and not supporting the club are non starters.
