I think, even if you don't like the owners, you'd find it hard to miss out on matches.

Say we get past Inter and draw Barca your first reaction would be 'I want to to go' because no matter what, who owns the club, who plays or who's manager, your a supporter and you always will be.

You're right mate, for people who love the club supporting the club will always come first. I think the Echo survey the other day said 76% of people surveyed would boycott matches if the the yanks stayed in charge. I think in practice it would be more like 6% because we love our club so much. I wish I could say with absolute certainty I'd be in that number of 6%

Its all fantasy mate I'm afraid. G&H haven't ****ed up at all, they are doing exactly what they planned to do all along. They've burdened the club with debt and will build the stadium, then sell to the highest bidder on the back of 70,000 bums on seats. there will be minimum investment in the team and the manager will change every 2 seasons or so to keep the pressure off them.

That would increase the pressure on them, also they would have to pay off all those managers and back room staff, £10m+ every couple of years. What your saying doesn't make sense in any way unless the club was a plaything and not treated as a business (like Newcastle). A poor team would effect matketing, the number of people in the stadium, tv revenue from CL and PL and also mean a lower amount from naming rights. What your saying would work in usa as they can't be relegated and you don't have to be succesful to make money but in the PL you do so it is in their best interests to keep on improving the team.

Boycotting stuff is up there self-defeating wise with the Virgin staff threatening to go on strike.

All that would happen is the club loses more money, the owners might lose out, but they'll simply give less to the team (staff).

One virtual guarantee - I bet ticket prices go up 10-15%. That's several million a year in one go!

As it is the club's finances that must cover Kop Football Ltd's repayments, then it must be the club's assets that are at risk if Kop Football Ltd were to default?

There will be very few new players anyway mate. Its not the lost revenue from 1 match that will hit them, its the possibility of a half empty stadium every week that worries them.

It'll never happen as people will always want to go to the match. G&H know that however poorly the team is doing anfield will sell out every week. They've got us by the balls.

Dissagree on that - me i'd go week in week out whatever div we're in but a lot won't -
70000 is a lot of seats to fill when some of the lesser games arn't sold out.

In fact would we sell 70000 for this Sat, would we off sold 70k for Luton infact would we of sold less? 70k would get rid of a lot of loyalty requiremnet and if we are playing crap and mid table won't take long for fans to watch it on the tele

A lot of our support is out of town, that';s some commitment to travel from the south coast - fly from Europe to sit in a 70000 seater stadium to watch crap and fight for mid table.

In fairness though, if Rafa's masterplan has worked, we wont need to sign many players in the coming years because he's got them signed up and playing in the academy already...sort of like what Wenger did when Arsenal tightened the purse strings.
