Thanjk you.

These guys obviously feel they can do it. Let's give them some support and see what they come up with, at least give them a chance before getting all negative.
I know where you're coming from fella in that the fans can change their minds quickly. But my point is that we need to get behind these guys and try'n get the yanks out.
You would rather these guys, who are genuine fans running the club rather than the Americans. Just because Barca and Real run Presidentcies (or however you spell it) every year doesn't mean we will.
it's the romantic idea IMO
maybe this day and age of football the club needs to be run at the top without emotion so to speak. As a buisness.
I'd personally love the club to be owned by the like of Moores with a pocket full of cash and a good board - for me the people like Peter Robinson
but even fans who are shareholders want the profit. They might not start like that but they will end up like that.
Would these guys want a say in team selection - a string of bad results would the demand certain players start?
Lets hear what they have to say first before we go jumping the gun
The 3 people named are certainly no mugs and have obviously not done this as a publicity stunt (like L4)
I think you will find that there will be 100,000 shares @ 5K each but you could buy a 1/50th of a share for £100 ( or multiples) and in the voting you would have 1/50th of a vote (or multiples)
whilst 5K may be beyond many of us a few hundred certainly isnt, I think the idea is to give a voice to as many fans as possible............... ok it may only be a tiny voice but a voice none the less
was also told something the other week by someone who works in the financial sector and he mentioned something about not needing banks if you are a charity or trust or summat................. cant remember the details but it sorts of fits in
FFS ................ I was getting Insider info and never realised lol
Lawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"
Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"
Lawrenson: Errr I thought I just did say that, John"

I think it would be a perfect solution:
Debt covered
Answerable to ourselves (more Professional and Responsible)
Manager-Players-Fans in an infinite link - like a Daisy Chain
I don't have £5,000 for a share sadly - if there would be a way to get some kind of micro shares for the less well off - unlike some of the Accountants and Lawyers on here

see my post above
they would obviously limit the amount any big investors could put in, so the micro votes (collectively) always had their say
because of the guys involved it could possibly work

Why can't it be shared between supporters who contribute an amount decided by him/herself and big parties like DIC and Kraft who buy for a much larger amount? We need to look at it like stock markets. These shareholders then can appoint the board which can but must not contain only shareholders (for example Sameer Al Ansari and Kraft) but also exterior persons (Dein) who have proved that they are up to the task. This way we won't need to "run the club" and no split between supporters will happen.

I'd imagine this is exactly how it could happen... a large proportion will be purchased by wealthy fans and a significant but smaller proportion by "normal" fans buying micro-shares...
Does anyone know the full details of how this system works for Barcelona?
As I understand it you pay a lump sum for a share then you get a vote in any decisions made. You vote for the club Chairman every few years etc.
What happens if more funds are needed for a new signing? Who decides this? do they contact EVERY shareholder and request another fiver?
Seems very complicated to me, but also VERY exciting too. We would not be ran as a big business, ran to squeeze every last penny out of the club, we would be ran by the fans!
