I think i'll just keep reposting this until people understand:Originally posted by Hansi View PostIsn't there a slight difference between paying £2000 to attend a Champions League final and £5000 for next to nothing?
People on here talk about what they as individuals will get out of the club, to paraphrase Kennedy, "don't ask the club what it can do for you, ask yourself what you can do for your club."
I've got a lot more out of the club in terms of very significant feelings of community involvement and heightened emotions than 5k can ever pay back.
If this scheme is what I think it is, the returned value of this investment is almost beyond price - it's safeguarding our community and putting in mechanisms that will pay back enormously in terms of personal happiness and emotional well-being. **** season tickets and voting rights.

There's a 5000+ post thread with the majority going mental because of the crippling debt put on the club. Someone has come up with a potential way out of it, and some don't even want to look at what it has to offer.I'm sceptical but its worth contemplating rather than writing it off. It's worked elsewhere, why not here?
At the moment we have no way whatsoever of removing the owners, they can bring in Klinsman and we can do **** all about it. Using this option 100,000 fans could oust them in a specified number of years. At the moment that seems worthwhile expoloring to me.Bite your hand off to be able to do that at this moment.Last edited by Tinkerbitch; 31-01-08, 08:24 PM.

You get one vote of hundred thousands. That's it.Originally posted by sonsofthedesert View Post
Nothing? You would own a part of the club, that should mean more than going to the final.
Yes.Originally posted by wavydavy View PostAre you serious?
I understand what you're saying, but I'd rather spend £5000 on following the team. It costs me £500 to go to a match. £5000 means 10 matches less, and I've only been able to go to Anfield twice in my 40 years. I'm sorry Tom but I think a lot of people would rather go 10 times to Anfield than own a share in the club. But: I do agree with you on your sentiments. It's just not affordable for most of us.Originally posted by Tom View PostI think i'll just keep reposting this until people understand:

****s sake theres no pleasing some of you shower of cunts, these lads have at least attempted to do something practical to get these monkeys off our back, as Tom says id gladly give 5k even though it would leave me broke and holidayless this year just to give something back and to ****ing do something. You can knock it all you ****ing want but the cold hard fact is this, if we all contribute then not only will we have enough money to buy our club back but to be the richest, best team in the ****ing world.
Its all well and good shouting your mouths off when **** happens but now (possibly) is the chance to actually DO SOMETHING!
Even if its £5, £10, £250 or £25k all monies will go towards something we all know and love. Liverpool Football Club.

I'm in. Safeguarding LFC is the most important thing for me. What's up with their website? Hardly an impressive start....

I'm not looking at it like that mate.Originally posted by Hansi View PostThe idea is great. But is it doable? I don't think so.
It is a worthwhile project even if we only raise half the required amount, or less. If this thing has any legs at all, the Yanks will be up against a force to be reckoned with and investors could well climb on board to make up the difference.
If the supporters can't own the whole club, we should at least own a percentage of it.It's not good because it's rude. It's good because it looks like it's good because it's rude.
