If we are going to copy Real and Barca then we will elect one club President, the different candidates have people backing them up with money to spend on players.

    A little bit like politics.

The main income to sign players comes from that but they also have some rich members that can back them up if they need to. Don't happen that often because the club President will be backed by his financiers.

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I think it's a great idea, and it could just work.
At the very least it will give us back our pride.
Unless we start putting our money and our energy into OUR club we'll lose it forever to some sleeze ball who's out to milk us dry.
Nothing ventured nothing gained, or are we all just happy to sit around whingeing like a bunch of bitters.....?

Agree - especially now the plans for stadium finance seem to have been explained

          Info from the meeting:

Rogan Taylor had this idea a year ago when we sold to the yanks and now regrets he didn't follow up on it.

The 20000 who register first, may have a kind of prioritized status, perhaps when it comes to tickets.

If there is enough interest they will contact the owners (cunt jr and cunt sr*)

          *my own words

Taylor thinks they might sell if they could present a serious bid

£500 mill will mean there will be no debt on the club, and it might cover some of the costs relating to building a new stadium. The rest will be through loans and other forms of income (naming rights?)

Arsenal is a good example of how everything can be financed by the club itself.

Meetings may be held in London and Liverpool if the interest and enthusiasm is big enough.

They didn't want to attack Gillett and Hicks personally, but they are generally against the form of ownership that we have today.

The new owners may decide to raise ticket prices among other things, and this buyout may not be as expensive in the long run if we can keep prices down (at least for those lucky enough to go to games regularly)

The only thing that worries me is that they maybe on a slight power trip. I hope this is in the best interests of the club and not for any personal benefit. Like ive said im very much in favour of this as a possibility

I've been corrosponding with Rogan Taylor, apparantly the site was getting hit with 1000 hits a second. It'll be back online tomorrow afternoon. I've asked for more detail about how groups can go about investing. More later.

I would like to put to bed any concerns about "power trips". Rogan Taylor, who I met at the first return match at Hillsborough after the disaster, is a gent and is completely ego-free.

Tom, AF, you both had some inside info on this or a potential takeover. Do you know what is going on?

Tom, i'll be straight to the point mate. You know me well enough.

Does this have legs in your opinion and really...would the consortium succeed where DIC seems to have failed?

Don't see why this consortium doesn't get a high profile Liverpool fan onside as well. Someone like me

I think it's a goer, it really is,there are some very, very, very serious people behind it, they're well organised and have a good plan. What's more important it it's absolutely the right thing to do for he club.
