However unrealistic this may seem to some at first glance, surely we can all acknowledge it's something worth really exploring? If it did come off, it would be phenomenal for the club.

I don't think a fans buy out will ever happen in the foreseeable future, but I am wiling to buy a share.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.
* After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Mid table under fan ownership will do me just fine at the moment!Originally posted by lfcruleus View PostAlso Barca have a 100000 capacity, Real are backed by the King, all this would lead to is us having even less money. The principle is very romantic by also unrealistic unless we want to be a mid table side
I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

FYI It was Just Rogan Taylor on his own, he was on from 8 pm until 9 and fielded questions from Alan Jackson and some phone questions ( they didnt do a phone in due to time constraints)
He has certainly done his homework, I was very pleased with his explanation of how the club would be debt free
HE also hinted that he is working with several people with "connections" to liverpool, behind the scenes, and then quickly added "ex players and the like"
MY guess would be Moores and/or King Kenny
His Figures certainly seem to add up.................. but as ever the biggest problem is the 500 million quidLawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"
Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"
Lawrenson: Errr I thought I just did say that, John"

Apparently not, its 1 share per person each person has a vote the shares are non transferable without permission fron some board that will be set up to ensure 1 share per person ( the constitution has still to be written)
People or groups with money would stand for election as president/chairman and use their money to fund transfers etc, by way of interest free loans........... repayable over a timescale the club could afford from its income
these same groups could also back a candidate in the elections which would be held every 4 years
apparently the benefits to business to be associated with a top brand like LFC far outweigh the costsLawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"
Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"

it did say that there would be safeguards in place to prevent multiple share ownership............. I cant see it working at the lower level, say fan + wife + 3 kids but it would certainly prevent someone effectively getting control of the club by throwing in 200 millionLawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"

It`s Ok the fans buying the Club. What happens when we need another 20mil striker.Another whip round??.Some supporters owning the club while others own players? If a players worth tripled after he was bought would his multiple owners vote to cash in?I`m all on for supporters buying the club but how cans of worms would it open?
