It's not perfect and every election period would see a beauty parade of candidates making promises, but I'd rather the people making the decisions be a group of fans who will have the best interest of the club at heart rather than a group of business men. Nothing to do with our position in the table.
    Agreed.

We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the drugs began to take hold.

So the fans would own the stadium? That wouldn't benefit the club for transfers. The point of this idea would be for the fans to own the club, it would be one idea or the other.

I think this is the best way for all. I am assuming that there would be a minimum share value of £2k to make it more manageable, it would be up to people if they want to make there own little consortium to make up the amount to the minimum share value.

I would like to think that share holders would get preference when it comes to match tickets outside of season ticket allocation.

I would quite willingly invest a min of £10k in shares in the club

C'mon mods get something started where we can all chip in a little something. Even if it's just a lady godivor or a tenner.

                  ie the options of
                  Nothing not interested
                  Nothing can't afford it
                  Up to £10
                  Up to £50
                  Up to £100
                  Up to £200
                  Up to £500

It would give an idea of what this site coud do to help.

I know mate, something needs to be done. I just don't feel like a true fan unless we at least back these guys. Maybe there's some people on here who can afford the £5000 themselves but most probably can't.

At least this way we can all chip in and see where we get. Maybe try just a fiver each at first that's nothing. We need to get behind the sharelfc group and support them.

so if you cant get a season ticket or afford shares you've got no chance. maybe a crappy cup game or something. not fair, i say

but the stadium would be payed for by the fans with no debt onto the club,so any money would go to the club.the 500mil shareliverpool are looking for will not buy the club and build the ground.what i've put forward will build and pay for a new stadium outright and any money brought threw the stadium will go to the club.

But then the fans would just be giving to DIC by default. The idea of the fan's buying the club and then getting a loan similar to the one Arsenal got for the stadium is a good idea.

it's not that simple everyone is looking at the real madrid and barca model but both of them are used as political tools.look at real a few years back they were in debt upto the eyes, then out of the blue the council buys there training ground for 100mill.if the fans buy us out and we get into debt who'll bail us out?

Also Barca have a 100000 capacity, Real are backed by the King, all this would lead to is us having even less money. The principle is very romantic by also unrealistic unless we want to be a mid table side
