Maybe you are right Fredo, maybe we should give the job to a Roy Evans type manager who plays fantastic football but gets beaten each game. I know let's get Keegan in! Job done.

In every dressing room, on the tactics board, there's an unticked box called "beautiful football". I've been there and seen it myself. Rafa never ticks that box when he talks to the players before the match, but Wenger and Ferguson always do.

We have yet to click and find form & we do lack creativity- I think everyone (bar Freda) would agree BUT to say we havent ever played decent footy under rafa is utter ****e- some of the stuff we played last year & in 05/06 was unstoppable- hence the big scorelines we achieved last season.3rd place. Worst champions ever.

Evans didn't know how to defend which messed him up but the last time we challenged for the league beyond January was with Roy Evans so behave.Originally posted by Gazmo1 View PostMaybe you are right Fredo, maybe we should give the job to a Roy Evans type manager who plays fantastic football but gets beaten each game. I don't expect fantasic football every game, I don't expect gun ho, I do appreciate winning when not playing well but I won't accept people saying we play beautiful football under Rafa because we don't.
That is not his style, his style is regimental and any decent moves we do in games are isolated and can happen given the quality we have in the team ie Gerrard, Torres, Alonso etc.
Yesterday against Boro at home in the first half, with the score 0-0 we had Fernando Torres in our box defending a corner taking instructions from Carra - what the ****? If we had him just that little bit further up and we cleared it, he would skin their defenders.
The issue I have is with Rafa and the style of play, he needs to grow some balls and stop being so cautious, especially at home.

You know the point I'm making so stop being a ****. You would be happier for us to play 'sexy' football and get knobbed every week than pick up the point this early in the season after a long break where new players have been brought in and some have either been playing in a MASSIVE tournament and not trained with team mates etc. and we are 3 games in 6 points. Now if we were 10 games in with 10 points 2 wins, 4 draws and 4 lossses maybe people would listen and objectively reply to you and treat you with a bit of respect.Originally posted by Rashid View PostEvans didn't know how to defend which messed him up but the last time we challenged for the league beyond January was with Roy Evans so behave.
If you don't expect fancy football and you appreciate winning when not playing well why all the BS threads about Rafa?I don't expect fantasic football every game, I don't expect gun ho, I do appreciate winning when not playing well but I won't accept people saying we play beautiful football under Rafa because we don't.
Makes this last bit questionable???

LET ME SAY THIS FOR THE 1OOTH time. I don't want sexy football, I want football that resembles a passing game, not a glorified Bolton. As for the excuses of Euros and new players - this is not just this season - Rafa has always played semi hoofball, cautious, scrappy football - that is his style.Originally posted by Gazmo1 View PostYou know the point I'm making so stop being a ****. Say it for the 101th time.............................go on, go on! LOL.
My point is Rash, you are jumping on the bandwagon after 2 games, WHICH WE HAVE MAX POINTS, and after a disruptive summer of crap and new signings.
GIVE IT A CHANCE!
Can't make it any simpler for you.Winning an argument on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win you are still a retard!

You're talking bollocks mate. Arguments like that makes me question your knowledge of the game. How Valencia played when Rafa was in charge ? They played majestic football at the same time being a very organized outfit very hard to beat. AC Milan is exactly the same as are all the italian teams.Originally posted by Rashid View PostLET ME SAY THIS FOR THE 1OOTH time. Everyone knows that Rafa has modelled his tactics based on the great AC Milan side of Ruud Gullit and Marco Van Basten. These two players were pragmatic, weren't they ????
We play some great football but again I'll say, we mix it up and grind out results when we need it. We beat Arsenal over two legs in the CL last season and still you didn't give us and Rafa credit for doing that, choosing to laud the merits of Arsenal's football. What has Wenger won last season ?
Rashid, I am really trying to understand your point but can't. For a start, just get behind the team through thick and thin. It's a football game in the end.

He started by bashing our pursuit of Barry. Then got all spastic with our supposed pursuit of Riera (which happens to be just paper talk) etc ...
He deserves his name. Rash as in Rashid.

Valencia played good football, not majestic and it sort of proves the notion that Rafa is a good coach not a great builder of teams. That Valencia side was Hector Cuper's team. Rafa has won the biggest trophies in his career with mainly Houller's and Cuper's teams - making them into winners. He is a great coach - my problem with his coaching is that it focusses on a stale brand of football and every nuetral will admit that.Originally posted by fredo View PostYou're talking bollocks mate. What did we win last season Fredo that Wenger didn't?
I am behind my team, I support LFC not Rafa FC.

This is the crux of the matter. There is little doubt that you hate Rafa with a passion. The fact of the matter is that he knows more than you and is in a position to make the changes that you wish you could like you can on your playstation. Fair play to you, it is your opinion I wish I could respect that.Originally posted by Rashid View PostI am behind my team, I support LFC not Rafa FC.
But I can't........
because I fail to believe that you are 100% behind Liverpool. You shouldn't have blind faith and see no wrong but you take the piss Rash.Winning an argument on the internet is like winning the special olympics, even if you win you are still a retard!
