Whelan was a legend of a footballer but I watch and listen to him both commentate and pundit weekly on irish radio and television and he has an agenda IMO. I have yet to hear him say a single positive word about LFC under Rafa. He regularly slates the manager/players/team. If you dislike a manager for whatever reasons be it personal or proffesional it should not effect his analysis of the manager or club when he is on tv/radio. A lot of the time what he says is unfounded and I don't care what anyone says you DO NOT earn the right to do that.

I am trying to stand up for free speech, for a program I watched and tried to share with you what happened as i saw it, and you hadnt viewed it.
I disagreed with a ridiculous (imo) statement you made, and pointed trhis out to you.
You tried to force your opinion on me by telling me it was "clearly" not a strange statement.
I put a few q's back to you and you cant even respond with any sanity, asking if I have been drinking, is this the way you carry on in your profeesional life shaggy?
I respect the number of posts you have, and your love for LFC.
Buy it is in my opinion the likes of you and your childish ilk who have caused anybody with any credible info, or interesting opinions to leave this site as quick as they joined it post koptak.
just my opinion mate, plenty on here will disagree as you are respected member of the community, but the right people will agree, unfortunatley most of them are gone, as you well know
Referee Lubos Michel said: “If my assistant referee had not signalled a goal, I would have given a penalty, and sent off goalkeeper Petr Cech.”

Very harsh. Am on this site a long time and can't remember Shaggy behaving like this. I'd be surprised if anyone agreed with that statement lad.

I think Shaggy did hound DJS out to be fair.

I’m sorry pal – I just read this quickly as I am about to become very busy…but can I ask WTF you’re on about? ‘childish ilk? WTF? Are you still on the same topic? WTF have people who have left this site got to do with anything? I’ve played no part in ‘forcing’ any ****er to leave this site, for what it’s worth.

Whilst veering (seemingly) wildly off-topic, you have failed to address my point – you don’t seem to be able to discern playing football from offering insight into it. You seem to think “if you’ve played it, you can offer insight into it”. I’ve given examples to the contrary. Argue all you like, but please back up what you’re saying. And stay on topic.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

So you are basically saying that you think no one here has any interesting opinions, and all those who have, have left (due to childish posters with **** opinions)? In which case can I ask why you are still here if you think the quality of the posters/posting is so bad? How about you post more and try and improve it? You obviously believe yourself to have more interesting opinions than most.

Sorry for the rant - should have bitten my tongue - but your dig at the site (and Shaggy, who I'm fully aware can fight his own battles) is bull****.

imo, there are loads and loads of pundits on tv, in the press etc, some ex players some not...but the majority of them are crap...absolute crap.

As for the general coverage of LFC, i feel a lot of them go out of their way to be negative about us...like today...a report about our game said PSV offered no resistance, no credit to our tactics or players hardly, but Arsenals game against a lame Porto was hailed as a wonder win.

Maybe it's just that being an LFC fan i tend to notice the negative stuff more, but it's just how it seems to me.
