If that player is being a mardy cunty behind the scenes, for example, then yes. What was going on behind closed doors we don't know.Originally posted by Jack D Rips View PostSo you think six months is enough time to make your mind up on a player?
Not even a season?
Anyway, Keane was such a massve financial gamble and it wasn't paying off. We can't afford to write off 20m so selling now him was the best option.Trey Nyoni: countdown to stardom-2 years1year0.5 years

Oh seriously thoughOriginally posted by kingfunk View PostI dont think iv ever read so many idiotic comments on one thread, some people on here have lost the ability to take a step back and take an independant view of the going on`s at Anfield.
Our manager seems to be gathering a cult following, Rafa is not only a good manager, very smart but he also is A Master Manipulator and it seems to me that a lot of people are being blinded by rafa`s verbal beams of light!!
The support of the Manager and the Players should be of equal measures, as should the blame.
For the last few weeks there's hardly been a post on this forum with the word Rafa in it that hasn't been criticising him to the max, people calling for his head, saying he's lost the plot, even saying he's not been trying to win games to prove a point to the owners. Now all of a sudden everyone's fallen for the "cult of Rafa"? That's plainly ridiculous. And as for the manager and players taking the blame in equal measures, well, after most of our silly draws I've seen a lot of blaming Rafa going on, not a lot of blaming players.
Is it not possible that some people are coming down in favour of Keane having left, not because they blindly believe everything the manager says, but because on this occasion, their own observations and opinions tally with his? Robbie Keane did not exactly cover himself with glory during his short Anfield career, he may not have had that many chances, but in those he did have, especially early in the season, he was completely anonymous on the pitch, and playing him upset our formation and our tactics. In his last appearance against Everton I can't remember him touching the ball for 70 mins. Maybe he was treated a bit unfairly, but that does not mean that those who are ambivalent, or happy, about him leaving, are wrong, or blinded by "verbal beams of light" anymore than those who are unhappy have been blinded by the media furore rather than actually considering what use he was proving to be to our side.....

Like our owners.
And our manager and CE
What is going on with our club?
We are so desperate to win the title we have forgotten what it takes to to do.
It appears the only trust level at the moment is with the manager - lets pray that a solid investor comes in soon and works with him 10000% maybe then we'll get back on track.
**** all this politics and public laundry - I just want to watch Liverpool concentrate on kicking the ball into the back of the oppo's net.
Of course we are of split opinion.
You can't expect hundreds of thousands of people to have the same opinion.
I agree with the previous poster about the
'On behalf of LFC' comment. Wasn't on my behalf.Oh I don't know.

I just dont get why people say that. Out of our 37 games he played a part in 24 of them. If you look at Riera he has only played apart in 19 and he has made more impact than Keane. Even Gerrard has only played in 29 of our matches.Originally posted by MrMichael View PostAnfield career, he may not have had that many chances, but in those he did have
Keane was given plenty of time to prove himself. I am not saying we went about it in the right way, but Keane didnt do himself any favours with how he played.

Well you don't speak for this Liverpool fan, or any of my mates. I didn't want Keane from the outset and he was in no way worth £20m. He played poorly for the most part and seemed to miss more clear-cut chances when it was harder to miss than score than any player I can remember.Originally posted by kingfunk View PostAs Robbie Keane returns to Tottenham after just six months and 7 goals in 27 appearances, many Liverpool fans are left bemused by the events which have seen the Republic of Ireland captain return to White Hart Lane so dramatically.
“DEAR Mr. Keane,
On behalf of Liverpool Football Club, I apologise for the way you’ve been treated. When you not only signed for the club you supported as a boy, but were given the hallowed number 7 jersey in the process, it must have been a dream come true - but the way that dream descended into six months of nightmare was unfair and completely uncalled for.
To never being given a chance to find form was unfair. To be dropped and benched time and time again while having the burden of an unjustified price tag was also unfair. To be a part of a squad that no matter how you performed, how hard you trained, or how much heart you gave to the club was never going to matter.
You have remained professional throughout and showed signs of ‘making the grade’ with the goal at Arsenal and two more against Bolton, alas you we’re dropped for the next match and saw only 75 minutes of league action since.
I, and many others, wish you well on your return to Spurs - and can understand that your feelings towards the club you’ve always loved may have changed. Many of us have supported you, and wanted to see you get a fair chance, but it was never on the cards. Alas, you were just one of the toys thrown out of the pram during our manager’s month of madness, where he thought nothing of treating a consummate professional as a pawn in a political game just so he could prove his point and get his way.
See you at Anfield on the 24th of May.
You deserved better,
A Liverpool Fan“
This is Anfield.
His attitude when substituted after yet another hopeless, clueless performance also showed disrespect to his team mates and the manager.
He wasn't good enough for us. I'm glad he's gone sooner rather than later, but good luck to him as a fellow Liverpool fan on his return to a club at the appropriate level for a player of his particular abilities

That's just silly. He was saying you can't expect everyone to have the same opinion when there are hundreds of thousands of people.Originally posted by Icon View PostEh?
Yes you can.
Millions of people share the same opinion often.
How the **** would people get elected for example?

No wonder everyone hates you.
Oh damn, I f*cked up my own logic there..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.
