I think it is more Eduardo Macia in charge of transfers and Purslow is dealing with negotiations.

roy has obviously given a list of players he wants and doesnt want and purslow as chief exec has the role of dealing with transfers........as with all ****ing clubs. lets stop just creating panic and bull**** scare stories by interpreting random quotes to fit into the "all is doom and gloom" scenario.People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

Theres a couple of flaws in this and quotes from Hodgson prove thisOriginally posted by the rev leeroy brown View Postroy has obviously given a list of players he wants and doesnt want and purslow as chief exec has the role of dealing with transfers........as with all ****ing clubs. lets stop just creating panic and bull**** scare stories by interpreting random quotes to fit into the "all is doom and gloom" scenario.
Loic Remy - "He's a player who was mentioned to me by the scouting department and a player the club were following before I came," Hodgson told his press conference in Switzerland.
"He's a player I know very little about. If I am going to be interested in a player I am going to have to watch him playing, study him and make judgments which I have not been able to."
Insua - “I saw him play in the last three days and I like him both as a player and on a personal level,” said Hodgson.
“However, talks with Fiorentina started before I got here, so I don’t know how advanced they are.
“I cannot say if Insua will stay at Liverpool or not.
“I’ll have to discuss that with the club.”Bob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

I'm glad people are feeling optimistic but it just seems out of step with reality..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

but we have not bid for him. we are linked to him and roy has admitted the scouting department have mentioned him to him so . . . . . .

no-ones knows what the talks with the club outcome was. he admits the talks were already under wya and as far as he knew the player could have already decided to go or signed a deal. we could interpret these talks to have insua tell the club he wants to go and so roy has given his okay to this.People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

and to me it's so obvious that others cannot see things from both sides and are close minded to the possibility that they might be wrong. . . . .as you say it appears they are a out of step with reality.Originally posted by Neil Young View PostIt's so f*cking obvious.

Sorry none of this adds up and it is plainly obvious by Hodgsons comments in recent days that transfer decisions are being made with little or no input from himBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."

this is a case where we have to agree to disagree because it is plainly obvious that he has had an imput in recent tranfer decisions going by his quotes . . . . . he continually says he has talked to certian players but it is not his job to discuss money etc..... thats the chief execs job - not the gaffers.Originally posted by Lecter View PostSorry none of this adds up and it is plainly obvious by Hodgsons comments in recent days that transfer decisions are being made with little or no input from himPeople who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

roy held brief talks, told him he wanted him probably then left purslow to negotiate . . . . . how is that not clear enough?People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

Clearly if we sign Remy it wont be Roys idea
