He wouldn't have been registered for the competition.

Presumably the Spanish and Dutch players aren't ready for competitive games yet. Hence no Reina, Torres or Babel either
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Agger is injured - Aurelio and Insua not registered = Jonno at LB.

I thought that Fab & Insua were both in tonights squad?

To be honest the team lists at the end of last season coming out before games were often off - I'm not sure the one V posted will be reliable.

I'll be disappointed if Insua doesn't start (if registered).
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

                            ..............Ngog

The formation itself is pure guesswork but thats the 11 expected out tonight
I can't see that being the team, if Aurelio and Insua are in the squad why play Johnson at LB??

                              Good point.

Neither are in the UEFA squad list though:

                              So the BBC clearly suck

Diego Cavalieri will start in goal, in the absence of World Cup winner Pepe Reina.

Glen Johnson and Jamie Carragher return to form a back-four along with Martin Skrtel and Martin Kelly.

Daniel Pacheco, who had a fantastic Under-17 World Cup gets his first competitive start for the Reds in right-midfield.

Steven Gerrard and Lucas Leiva will start in the centre of midfield with new-signing Milan Jovanovic starting as a left-winger.

Joe Cole, will get his Anfield bow tonight and will play behind David Ngog, who starts alone up front and scored twice in the first-leg.

Stream links for the match will be available on LFC Globe ahead of kick-off.

Starting: Cavalieri, Johnson, Carragher, Skrtel, Kelly, Pacheco, Gerrard, Lucas, Jovanovic, Cole, Ngog.
                                Subs: To be confirmed.
