I don't loke Liverpool losing ever, BUT if it meant we could move forward with a new manager then just maybe.
It's a prediction thread on a wish list.

I'm also a little worried about the influence that carra has.
He mentioned on the radio the other day that,if results don't change then its time for players to be leaving the club.now as we know its not just all down to the players, but the manager as well with his **** tactics etc.
Roy just isn't upto the job,the quicker our new owners realise it,the better.
January could turn out to be catastrophic,if that man is allowed to spend what ever amount he is given.

He's toast in the Summer whatever happens. He's not big enough for the job. NESV will recognise that fact.
I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

I'd accept losing 15-0 today if it meant bringing a world class manager in before the Blackburn game.

No. I desperately want us to win today.

They only time I could ever want us to lose, is when we really had nothing to play for - I.e last game of the season, we can finish no better or worse than 4th, and losing would mean Man Utd were prevented from winning the league.

We should never accept defeat as a means to an end.

I hope that Hodgson has had a conversion in the mould of St Paul on his way to Damascus. We start to play attractive, attacking football with the focus on winning games, instead of not losing games. We beat the Toffees and go on a winning streak until the end of the season; collecting number 19, the FA Cup and UEFA cup which Roy accepts graciously and with humility.

Alas, I fear we will be easily beaten; when behind, we will throw off the shackles of Roy's rigid tactics and play some neat attacking football perhaps grabbing a goal. Post match Roy will bemoan his luck with the off field distractions, yet point to the 10-20 minutes when the team actually played with freedom, claiming credit and indicating this is a sign that he must be given more time and that the players must accept the blame, for he has been a top manager for over 35 years.

Rinse and repeat until he finally is sacked. The crying shame is that season is looking the weakest Premiership since the late 90's, if we had brought in the right person we could/should have been challenging instead we are the relegation zone.

Kenny was only my wish if Roy got the sack while the 2 parasites still owned us

                  Pellegrini please

I have no problem with him staying just for this season and give time to new owners to sort out the management issue etc..... but I just hope no money is spent in January. We need to save our ammo for next season with a new manager in place (hopefully RAFA!)

**** that - I want to give Everton a right ****ting today - and if we do I'll be thanking Uncle Roy.

Dalglish is not the answer, either short term or long term.

Being in the relegation zone so we can sack the manager - **** me! That's more like the bitters talking.

After all that's happened in the past week - let's get behind the team and the manager. If they don't come up with their end - then let NESV decide their fate.

                        Well said sir
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
                        Mine angry and defrauded young?

We wouldnt need a short term replacement like Daglish now. We have new owners. We can go for a world class manager again. Now's the time in my opinion. New owners and a fresh start.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Hang on though, NESV may have a good record as baseball owners etc, but by their own admission do not really have any experience at all re. football. They're going to want to get the right advice, get the right people into the club behind the scenes, and properly evaluate the situation before making any "rash" moves. Arriving yesterday and sacking Hodgson tomorrow would just be silly, however poorly the team is doing at the moment. Not even the Abu Dhabi lot did that at Citeh, nor Abrahamovic at Chelsea. What world-class replacement would we get right now? Would NESV have any idea who to appoint, or what the real work that needs to be done is?

We may not like it, but we're stuck with Hodgson just for the minute. He's not the messiah certainly, but he's also not quite as bad a manager as everyone's making out after our first few results. Inadequate for the job, possibly, but he's not Allardyce at least. Or Souness

Seriously, I'd much rather he wasn't at the helm, just like everyone else, but all this wishing we'd lose if it means getting rid of him is a bit lame imo. He's still the manager of Liverpool football club, and as such deserves just a little bit of support from the fans, even if that comes more from vain hope than genuine expectation.
