The only reason we should be appointing Kenny is for the short term. He's not the person to take us forward long term.

    Next?

Best to get someone who hasn't managed anyone at all in years. They'll come at it fresh instead of full of stupid ideas from managing at the very top level in La Liga.

its football mate, somehow i don't think Kenny is that out of the loop. We have the players and the talent to make things happen and at least push for 4th, we just need someone to get that out of them and IMO i thought Kenny was the man to do that. But i still hope Roy can turn it around, he is a good manager but has been shocking for us thus far.

In theory I've been totally against appointing Kenny. If we were going to give him a go, though, it should be right now so that he can kinda use the fans elation and maybe the players relief for a fresh start. If this **** continues though, I think it would be highly unlikely that a sentimental appoinment could dig us out of relegation. Too much rot would have set in by then.

I would never accept defeat. NESV will look at The Hodge overall, not on todays result.
I also cant belive the amount of venom against him, give him a ****in chance
                  *Except Michael, who died.

I would, 100% in a heartbeat. Short term pain for long term gain.

If the rumoured team turns out to be true he is heading to Goodison aiming for a 0-0 and hoping to get lucky with a piece of genius from Gerrard or Torres.

He has no idea how to behave as manager of Liverpool football club, every game is 'difficult' and there are always ready made excuses slipped into press conferences preparing everyone for when his 1980's tactics fail again.

The 2nd best thing about having new owners is now all the focus is on Hodgson, no hiding place Roy, no hiding place.
                    Classless thread.
                    Oh I don't know.

Pellegrini is a very good manager mate. I am not saying we should give him a five year contract. He is in fact looking to move back to Chile in 2-3 years time and become the manager of their national team. So he will be perfect for a short term role.

His work in Villareal was very very impressive. He may not have won anything at Real but his points tally was very very good. His teams are defensively disciplined and at the same time play good quality attacking football. He is polished, suave, humble and has the ability to manage under difficult circumstances and has handled egos.

In addition, Villareal have a decent youth and scouting system . They are not exactly Sevilla, Barca, Arsenal or Ajax level but it is still better than ours. So he can help with that.

And Oh..the Blue****e hate him as he dumped them out of the Champs League qualifiers in 2005

I think he would be a very good transition manager if we continue to be mired in the bottom half of the table while we look for the next "top quality" manager.

                        Transitional manager? WTF?

                          Behave!!

Barcelona would have walked any league in the past 2 seasons, spending that sort of money doesn't make you a team overnight.

Pellegrini is a very good manager and was essentially removed from the job because he wasn't Maureen.

Will you say the same thing if at the end of the season Barca have won again and therefore Maureen should be sacked?

so, if we're going to lose this match anyway, who wants roy to stay on?

He has to go regardless of the result. In fact there are a number of players that can **** off at the same time.

                                RESIGN THEN ROY.

Roy Hodgson says it would be "a sad day for Liverpool" if the club's new owners abandoned the Anfield tradition of loyalty to managers and dismissed him after the team's worst start to a season for 57 years.
