Originally posted by MrMichael View PostHang on though, NESV may have a good record as baseball owners etc, but by their own admission do not really have any experience at all re. football. They're going to want to get the right advice, get the right people into the club behind the scenes, and properly evaluate the situation before making any "rash" moves. Arriving yesterday and sacking Hodgson tomorrow would just be silly, however poorly the team is doing at the moment. Not even the Abu Dhabi lot did that at Citeh, nor Abrahamovic at Chelsea. What world-class replacement would we get right now? Would NESV have any idea who to appoint, or what the real work that needs to be done is?
We may not like it, but we're stuck with Hodgson just for the minute. He's not the messiah certainly, but he's also not quite as bad a manager as everyone's making out after our first few results. Inadequate for the job, possibly, but he's not Allardyce at least. Or Souness
Seriously, I'd much rather he wasn't at the helm, just like everyone else, but all this wishing we'd lose if it means getting rid of him is a bit lame imo. He's still the manager of Liverpool football club, and as such deserves just a little bit of support from the fans, even if that comes more from vain hope than genuine expectation.
I guess the worry is though that if he continues in the way he is then like Souness his legacy will be reducing the quality of the squad for no short term benefit at all. Agger being the obvious potential loss with Roy at the minute.
I'm slightly on the fence and want Roy to get another three games. If he shows no signs of adapting to his role here then he has to go."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

I think he has until January to prove himself and to do extremely well to hold on to the managerposition. I think they want to bring in a world class manager in january or at the latest june.Originally posted by MrMichael View PostHang on though, NESV may have a good record as baseball owners etc, but by their own admission do not really have any experience at all re. football. We are 8pts of 4th place after 6 games.
We are equal bottom of the league.
after the next 4 games I am very confident of being bottom
Lose to Everton
Home Win Blackburn
away Loss Bolton might sneak a point.
home Loss Chelsea
Just when do we say enough is enough.....its bad enough performing like a relegated team but acting and talking one is killing me_____________________________________
Weak willed, Wank or do they have a masterplan?
Think we have the answer..Slot!!

Agree 100%Originally posted by RoadEnd View Post**** that - I want to give Everton a right ****ting today - and if we do I'll be thanking Uncle Roy.
Dalglish is not the answer, either short term or long term.
Being in the relegation zone so we can sack the manager - **** me! That's more like the bitters talking.
After all that's happened in the past week - let's get behind the team and the manager. If they don't come up with their end - then let NESV decide their fate.

Shocking question - no way should anyone accept defeat today to get rid of Woy.
We need the 3 points desperatly and no matter who the manager is come kick off we should be supporting them - he isn't the right man for the job I think everyone on here is of the same agreement.
After a great week of solidarity with getting rid of H&G this sort of **** makes my blood boil.

3 points would be my preference, but I've already told my Everton supporting mate that I'll watch the match with him for the first time as I can take defeat if it means Roy is likely to go.
A 'twemendous' draw would be my nightmare scenario.Last edited by RedReet; 17-10-10, 11:43 AM.If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?
