It's with a fairly heavy heart that I agree with that. However I'd rather, much rather see Cole go before Pacheco. Obviously.

i like pacheco but i can't see us regretting this one....He'll go, we won't hear much about and he will do ok at half decent spanish side and every now and then he'll pop up in games on Sky against Barca/Real or the odd europa game against an english side and we'll all go....Ohh dani pacheco, used to play for liverpool him.....Ala Mark Gonzalez, Pongolle etc

Every game for the reserves I think. He's not playing bad, just doesn't seem to be excelling like he was when he first came here.

Anyone seen more of him lately that would disagree?

I also notice that he wasn't part of the pre-season tours at all, Sama and Sterling got picked ahead of him for some experience (although perhaps that's turn-based as I think Suso travelled to one away game last season).

I would say that that suggests that at the moment there's little chance of him being involved in the first team at all this season. I would imagine the lads closest to the first team would be the ones that we could expect to feature in Carling cup games etc Coady, Wisdom, Sama Sterling etc. Those not involved in pre-season (or youth international tournaments) I doubt will be seen will be involved at all this year, unless something changes dramatically.
