The delay in supporting statements show that any that do appear would be lies anyway. 48 hours and none yet. Some going to suddenly remember it now? It's a horrible thing that few people tolerate. Not the type of thing you hear everyday and blank out

If other players heard what is alleged to have been said, I'd would've expected them to confront Suarez immediately. I still wouldn't put it past them to come up with some vague bollocks like "Yeah, I head something but wasn't 100% sure what it was, and Patrice seemed terribly upset by it", or "yeah I heard him say it but at the time I was so shocked by it I thought I must have misheard, but now Patrice has comfirmed it, I was right the first time."

i think suarez goes down to easily and rolls about too much. I also think if he played for a different club we would have a different opinion of him.

however there is a point about having to make the foul obvious to make sure you get it. One step on from that though is does that not reinforce the need to go down easily in future?

I think we all would like to see an end to falling over but there is a clear difference between the downing fall and that of suarez. Also suarez will be targeted because of his skill and danger he poses to other teams.

on the racism issue i dont know what happened but there can be no place in football for racism.

in terms of the mud sticks comments i would usually agree however reading this thread it has been mentioned that finnan was accused as was the chelsea groundsman. I dont think that either of them are considered to be racist now, so not sure suarez would if found to not have said it.

No one knows or cares about a Chelsea groundsman though. Finnan was slightly different as it was just some deaf dickheads watching the match. This has got far more publicity unfortunately.

yeah but i am not convinced he will be considered racist if he is proved to be innocent.

maybe some mancs will think he is no matter the result but i am not sure thats a case of mud sticking but just football supporter ****

              Absolutely.

Anything but an official complaint would mean that alleged incident didn't take place and he would come across as a lier and a cunt, which he is BTW.

I'd be surprised if this is true but obviously there is a chance it is, if it is Luis is going to have to do an awful lot to redeem himself.

I do expect this to result in a "no further action" situation which is the worst outcome, if Evra is lying which I have a feeling he is (he does have form for this sort of stuff) then he should get the book thrown at him and of course the same with Luis.

It'll end up as "can't find anything to charge him with" and be forgotten

But the thing in this case is the confidence with which Evra presented the case. Suarez used it 10 times. It will definitely be caught on camera. There is evidence.

However 48 hours after the incident not one single corroborating evidence has turned up. None of the videos show any evidence of Suarez using the word once let alone 10 times.

And people say United planning it is a bit far-fetched!

I expected Talk****e to be all over this today but there's been next to nothing. As others have already said Sky (who have how many cameras at the game?)will have gone through their footage with a fine tooth comb and seem to have nothing This is already a non story IMO. Totally unprovable. If I were LFC I would raise merry hell over these allegations. Why didn't Evra after the (alleged)3rd or 4th incident have a quiet word with the ref? Put him wise to what was goin on.
I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Someone just said to me in passing that video evidence had now been found, he did'nt elaborate, tbh i probably did'nt give him the chance as he's a dick head and did'nt want to give him the pleasure of seeing me being arsed either way, so i just fobbed him off with a...."Yeah..like the lip reading evidence the last time Finnan was accused...it's load of bollocks!"

But i admit, i'm slightly worried now and so logged on here to see if anything had been said, does'nt seem to be anything new having scrolled up a bit.

Our pursuit of Evra to be banned is just the strongest denial we could come up with to limit the mud sticks aspect. We must be pretty damn confident that either Suarez is telling the truth or we're not sure but know there is no evidence either way. I'd be very surprised if this doesnt blow over very soon. If there is some evidence to suggest, even if not prove, the allegation then I think the club will have made a big PR mistake with their response.

Imagine, Suarez getting a lengthy ban, and either grovelling all over the media for eternity, or leaving for a foreign club. Doesn't bare thinking about.
