IMO Evra was told by Fergie what to say in the same way the players must obey what Mourinho tell you or you are out and finished at the club.

If Fergie tells you to come up with a fake story then you do it.

I think that all of this is evidence that Fergie is now starting fear us again and that he fear what Suarez could achieve with us.

We have a player that you could claim is the third best player in the world behind only Messi and Ronaldo. I think that is the main reason to why Suarez is even accused.

I may be mistaken here, and I'm sure a legal bod will clarify but I think that the onus in civil proceedings would be for Suarez to provde he didnt and that Evra had no grounds to think he did, rather than Evra to proce he actually did.

If Slander/libel/defamation were as simple as the accused not being guilty then we wouldnt have a newspaper industry in this country because it would be too easy for anyone to sue.

One of the defences against a claim of slander (or libel) is that is was true, and evra would need to establish this. Other defences are that it was fair comment, or that the person making the statement was protected by privilege, such as parliamentary privilege.
