I mentioned something like this yesterday.

Either that or shake his hand but make it well over the top and just apologize to him, repetitively, might be sarcastic but no-one can say otherwise because he did what was expected of him.

That might have been a bit OTT but I know what you're getting it. It was all a PR stunt anyway, yet we dealt with it in the worst possible way.

Craig, the media would have just reported a vicious biting attempt if that were to happen.
        Hello mert.

Disappointed by today's statements. What a horrible weekend.

KD: We all have a responsibility

Liverpool Manager Kenny Dalglish today insisted Luis Suarez is right to apologise for failing to shake Patrice Evra's hand at Old Trafford.

"Ian Ayre has made the Club's position absolutely clear and it is right that Luis Suarez has now apologised for what happened at Old Trafford," said Dalglish.

"To be honest, I was shocked to hear that the player had not shaken hands having been told earlier in the week that he would do.

"But as Ian said earlier, all of us have a responsibility to represent this Club in a fit and proper manner and that applies equally to me as Liverpool Manager.

"When I went on TV after yesterday's game I hadn't seen what had happened, but I did not conduct myself in a way befitting of a Liverpool Manager during that interview and I'd like to apologise for that."

If Luis had of tried to hug him, he would be facing a 36 match ban for homofobia

All of the apologies seem a little half-hearted really, I'm not sure how the media are going to spin this one.

It really is time for the club and it's fans to put this to bed. This could still be a truly fantastic season if we can get our **** together. 13 league games left with 7 at home all very winnable IMO. As Craig pointed out last night we were 4pts off the top 4 at the start of the weekend and, with the weekend over and our last really troublesome game out of the way we're still 4pts off the pace. Add to that a very good prospect of a great FA Cup run plus a totally winnable game in the Carling Cup Final. It really is time for Carroll,Downing,Adam,Henderson and a few others to **** or get off the pot. I still think the top 4 is easily achievable if we can raise that dreadful chance conversion rate a bit.
I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

Said Kenny, while tongue was firmly in cheek..

Yep, I'd say they've been less than impressed with how this whole situation has been dealt with by the club. Can't say I blame them.

I think that whatever he tried to media would be in Evra's corner. They see him as a villain and no matter what he does he will always be seen as one.

They would find the way to justify it even if Evra would refuse to do so.

They would say "How did he dare to try to hug him after what he told him".

I am so sick of all of this and as Luis said himself I cannot wait for this to be put behind.

It is Sunday and I'm going to gym to relieve my anger and frustration there.

                          **** all this.

I tend to agree with you. I read that a couple of the papers in the US were putting pressure on Henry to do something

To be fair we've made the point. Suarez made it. Kenny made it. Now all we can do is just feed the press something they want and expect.

Standard PR procedure. If only someone asks the press to get on Evra for his ridiculous OTT celebration, that would be great.

We have a cup final coming and we need the things and atmosphere around the club to be calm.

Hope to see all three of them read out through gritted teeth.

That would be the only positive thing to take from them
