but TBH, I think an extended Suarez Liverpool career was still in the balance before this recent handshake bull****. He'll do whats best for himself and his family."I will make the boys feel your support"

This is like the playground during 3rd grade; we should put it behind us, win the domestic Cup double and get in to the Champions League and let the summer wash away the problems.
LFC should stand with Luis and work with him to rehabilitate his image; if he has to jump through hoops like community service and sports psychologists, so be it, be a man and do it, but don't throw the baby out with the ridiculous bath water.
the lad needs guidance, counseling and education. he needs to learn how to behave as a professional sportsman.

Good management from Ayre there. To the outside world it appears it was all Luis so get him to apologise, follow it up with a public dressing down and move on.
We're fighting a losing battle with the press at the moment so although IMO the club doesn't think it's all Luis fault it's better to just do this and try and move on.

FSG can **** off if they can't stick up for their own - when they're in the right.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostI will be stunned if Ayre, Suarez and Kenny are all here come the summer. Not saying they'll all go but I'm certain at least one will. Get the impression FSG are not impressed with this unholy mess.
Pissed off.
YepOriginally posted by destinydude View PostSickens me that the club has been bullied into doing this.
Surprised?Originally posted by Vermilion View PostFerguson a week or so ago even said he would not make ferdinand shake Terry's hand, it's a personal thing he said, and how the handshake is really meaningless, just a ritual.
How opinions change.
Yep. Sickened. Don't like it at all. We've rolled over to the ****ers. It stinks.Originally posted by Mostar View PostWow. We basically left him out in the cold for vultures to eat him alive.
I'm completely gutted by this statement. MUFC would never ever do this to one of his players...
The more and more it looks that way.
I would be terribly upset if he goes.
Another nail in football's coffin for me.

He betrayed the club yesterday when he broke his promise.
There are a lot of factors here, he was wronged in the first place, but by breaking his promise to us he's tarnished the reputation of the club, a club that had supported him wholeheartedly in the face of a massive media backlash.
I don't think he'll be playing for us next season

We don't know that do we but this is a very strong statement and I am personally disappointed by it.Originally posted by Chris View PostYou dont even know whats gone on behind closed doors. He might have agreed to this.
You may not agree with that but that is fine.
In my line of work I was forced to apologize few times in the written from on behalf of my staff when our clients made false accusations against them as banks are unwilling to jeopardize their public image even if those situations are manufactured and without any evidence.
Trust me it is one of the most difficult things I had to do and even though I see the big picture that I had to keep in mind that doesn't mean that I agreed with it...On the contrary..Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

Yes, and that was never, ever in doubt. It was clear as day he planned to snub Evra. I would say in fairness though Evra was also reluctant, but that still doesn't make what Suarez did right.Originally posted by Norbert Dentressangle View PostIs that an admission from Suarez that he made no attempt to shake hands?

I still think there is something in that tweet Suarez put out yesterday.
They where his words and not diluted by anyone.
But looking at the situation as it is now, it could be that he got a bollocking for not shaking his hand, off Kenny or someone else.
More to this than meets the eye.
Was the second statement that the bloke was on about the one from Ayre btw?The times they are a changin'.

Sometimes you have to say the 'right' thing in the public domain, whether you believe it or not.
This is my trail of thought too; publicly we're going to be seen to be doing the right thing. However, internally, we've explained what and why we are doing it, so he's fully aware of our thoughts on it all, but the acions we have to make because of the position we are in.

I thought the same when I saw Ayre's statement but we can only guess that is what he had in mind when he tweeted "Things are not as they seem" or something along those lines.Originally posted by Gibbo9 View PostI still think there is something in that tweet Suarez put out yesterday.
