I'm not reading this thread but I kinda sympathise with Arn while at the same time believing it's far too soon to say what he said. I am 100% behind Kenny and believe that it is possible for us to get back in the CL and win the league with him. I can't say I know we will cos noone can. Hand on heart, if I had to bet, I would bet that we won't succeed under Kenny and that we dipped into the big bucket of nostalgia that curses LFC in making him manager.

There was an LFC-supporting journo on Newstalk today talking about Ferguson's 25 years and "knocking Liverpool of their perch" and he made the point that Ferguson didn't really do it - we have been imploding ever since the appointment of Souness and then Houllier. Good point I think.

I look forward to the success that I hope Kenny will bring us but I have to be honest and say that my delight on those days will have a lot of pleasant surprise attached to it.

I was a huge Rafa fan and one of the big issues with him being dismissed was that he was not given the time or resources to correct his mistakes. He made mistakes in the transfer market and he paid for it.

It is staggering that one of Rafa's biggest fans is advocating the same for the King. Given that he has not been given that much time. I agree he has been given a lot of resources. I am also not too happy with some of the signings. BUt calling for his head after 11 games into a new season is pure madness.

Kenny and Commoli have a put a footballing strategy in place. Let us wait and see if it will bear fruit and see where it takes us.

I think you're over-estimating Pepe's hold on where Mata would go. It's very naive to think that clubs need to bid to find out if a player wants to join too. I'd says clubs have the go ahead from the players agent the majority of the time before they do indeed bid.

Bottom line is Mata joined a club challenging for major honours. Asking him to join Liverpool in the summer would have been a sideways step for him.

If the player say that he is interested then we make a bid and if he say no then we don't.

Arn, I understand your frustration and anger but wanting Dalglish sacked is knee-kerk. Even if things get worse I would be amazed if Dalglish is not given until the end of the season then his position will be assessed.

After he signed for CFC he said which teams were potential suitors and we were not mentioned..

Also why did we make the bid for Jones then when he said after he signed for MUFC that if wanted to play for mediocre club like us he would have stayed at Blackburn (along those lines).
