I've said i wont give up until it's mathematically beyond us.

How dare I keep hoping and refuse to give up....

Liam Brady - "Liverpool should be in the top four, out of sight, with the chances they've created this season"

Flawless reasoning, which is hard to argue with.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

And besides, WTF is going on with LFC giving up on something that's still mathematically impossible?

**** that, we keep trying our best until the season ends. We're LFC, we're not some two-bit bollocks club that gives up on things and throws the towel in. That's what teams like Wolves do when they go to Old Trafford with no concept of being able to get a result, and they 'throw' the game by fielding a reserve team.

          That aint us.
Well said. A betting man wouldn't put a decent wedge on us. But stranger things have happened. We are right on Chelsea & Newcastle with them both still to play.

So we need only one team to **** up that is out of our control. And teams **** up and hit bad form all the time. Even Spurs could wobble after the Arsenal game.

It really does come down to us. Win our games and we'll still get 4th IMO. It's just unlikely we will.
          Forwards.......

As has been the case all season, if and when we miss top 4, it'll be because we've not done what we should - it's not gonna be because Chelsea or Arsenal have produced something beyond our capabilities of matching and left us eating their dust.

I'd rather we concentrate in winning the league (next season) than play in the CL IMO. For the time being at least, that might be a blessing in disguise.
              Are we winning?

You aint gonna go from 5th (or lower) to 1st in one year though Nigel mate.

This concentrating on the league talk is rubbish. The plan every year is to concentrate on the league. By concentrating on the league you qualify for the champions league.
Dont be fooled, Kenny was fully concentrating on the league this year, it has not been a success, unfortunately. We need another top "new football" coach, unfortunately all the top coaches also want to be the manager. Whatever anyone says, this club needs champions league football and every season we go without is a failure.

Ps I still want kenny, but we need another top coach at the club.

We should always aim to win the league even if we are not there at the end of the day.

Yeah but that kind of leap doesnt happen in one year.

I think winning the Premier League MUST become the absolute obsession for the owners and the club. Forget all this finish in the top 4 bollocks, we have to go back to being focussed on winning it. That is the only way we will guarantee CL football every season. Just my take on it.

I think Kenny has the right way of thinking. Give it your best every game, then at the end of the season, add up your points and see where you finish.

Dalglish has said the same line all season, whether we played well or played badly.
