Would you really trust him with money again though? I wouldn't if it was mine.

I cannot see one positive to keeping him bar sentiment and the fact he was a good player. He has no single attribute to warrant being a manager of Liverpool at the moment, nothing.

Thanks Kenny for your time but goodbye.
What benefit would there be to sack him today? With or without him we are going to finish between 6-8th.

Him leaving would derail our FA cup bid and more importantly totally disrespect an absolute legend.

This is exactly what annoys me about our club. People obsessed with Shankly, Paisley, Kenny etc....

It means NOTHING!!!!! It's all in the past. Fact is we are utterly awful as a team and need to make a change asap for the good of the club. F**k sentiment and respect, it's all about results.

I feel a bit sorry for him to be honest but doesn't change the fact I want him gone.

The tirade of abuse against Houllier, Rafa and Roy is acceptable is it?? Seems to be on here. All deserve the same respect for their services to football; Kenny is not some untouchable saint, he is an accountable human being like us all.

Below are the league finishes of a certain Scot down the road who's been hailed as the greatest manager ever by some(its Bob IMO) . Not great reading is it! After finishing 2nd in his second season it takes another 4 seasons unitl he 2nd again with an 11th, 13th & 6th thrown into the mix.

          11th
          2nd
          11th
          13th
          6th
          2nd
          1st

I am not saying Kenny will get us back to the top of the tree again and I'm not saying he won't but what I am saying is that sometimes success takes a little while to acheive and sometimes a little patience is also needed.

Which is of course true, but Fergus (and rafa and houllier) came to their clubs on the back of success. People understood it takes time for them to implement the same thing at their new club, although Fergie was almost sacked. In some situations, such patience brings long term success, in others it brings decline. Still just boils down to whether you think Kenny is the right man.

It does indeed the point I am making is that knee jerk sackings and replacing him with someone else won't ensure better results either.

Don't get me wrong either, massively concerned with our form at the moment but he needs to be backed in the short term.

Pretty much agree, unless he's tempted to step aside.

Ferguson is anomalous in world football. He's the go to guy for an example of stability in the face of adversity.

He's a blip. Ok he's an example of what can happen if the circumstances are right and its good for both the club and that person to stay, but there are infinitely more examples across the world showing that when things aren't working, a change is required.

If we stuck to the Ferguson anomaly, we would still have Gerard Houllier in charge, years past his effectiveness.

So - what decision was right for Liverpool in 2004? Houllier and under performance or Benitez and a fresh approach?

                          The circumstances are completely different.

Each situation is to be judged on its own merit, they aren't precedents.

Not an answer to my question is it. Houllier 6 seasons, Kenny not even one full season yet. Roy was a mistake plain and simple bought in under a regime that cancerous to the club and that almost brought us to our knees. (seems some on here have very short memories)

Fergie 6 years to get it right

Roy - zero and shouldn't have ever been at the club

                                Whats to acknoweldge?
