Correct.Originally posted by rudedog View PostIf we are looking to control the game with possession then I wouldn’t start Jota - his ball retention has been ****e.
Lol @ “when everyone is fit”
It's Diaz / Gakpo / Salah every time for the rest of the games to keep control of possession. Otherwise our midfield and defence will continue getting horribly exposed. One tit for another.

Form has nothing to.do worh it.They are top tier. Jota and Nunez are not, and I would suggest they dont fit naturally into our style of play.
Jota when on form has a knack for scoring, but I still dont think his all round play is a natural fit for the way we play, but he does give the opposition something different to.worry about.
Samewith Nunuez although I dont think we know how to get the best out of him without reconfiguring the press that relies on a false 9. Nunez cant really drop.deep.or play back to goal. He also struggles against defences that sit deep, as they tend to do against us.
What we should have done against Spurs second half was sit deep ourselves and play in Nunez over the top... but Klopp likes his high line.In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

... it will be interesting to see if Nunez comes into his own with a new midfield behind him next season and if he can spark into life in that system instead of lacklustre lethargy of the current one.
I'm not writing him off just yet... unlike some others on here.

Klopp clearly appreciates Jota's pressing and general off-the-ball defensive work, so that needs to be thrown into the mix. I think all Nunez gives us at the moment is positive, high-energy chaos. That is no bad thing, but clearly we need more soon.Originally posted by Charly View PostForm has nothing to.do worh it.They are top tier. I don't know why Jota doesn't fit our style of play. He constantly presses, makes runs into the box and between the lines, has pace and can score with both feet and head. He's an absolutely menace to opposition defences, dragging them all over the place. Intelligent with it, knows when to twist and when to stick. He's the perfect Klopp player in my view.Originally posted by Charly View PostForm has nothing to.do worh it.They are top tier. I don't think the same about Nunez, I was hoping he'd come on but I can't really see it at the moment.Experimental music, Metropolitan foodstuffs, Mexican wrestler art, London suburbia, wry whimsy, fansy pants flim flam lad
