I think they probably will too, but they could be worth keeping to keep up squad size, Flanagan in particular as we are short of cover at fullback (also I would hope he will get another year to get over his injury in an attempt to get back to where he was).

Clyne is wank going forward Trent Alexander Arnold Schwarzenneger can at least take a player on. Clyne better defensively at the moment but offers **** all going forward apart from cutting in himself and playing it sideways like a slow crab.

agree clyne has been poor going forward but he is more consistent in defence. although clyne is a decent defender we still concede a load of goals because of the way we play and we are often getting done by a long ball counter attack while our full backs are up the pitch. no good having a good right back defender if we have him too far up the pitch to actually be defending.

maybe we could play with a back three and make better use of clyne's better defensive attributes. we might be much less likely to being caught by a long ball to a runner going wide with our back three playing a bit wider and the centre one furthest back.

I don't think we try to defend conventionally very much. We basically try to break things up. I think we should just give up on the idea of defensive fullbacks.

I like Clyne but I would be playing TAA, I think. Basically, I feel we won't compete long term trying to out buy those around us so we should look to develop a team. If we feel like having a defensive fullback Clyne could go to the left.

we were being pressed by watford who were well coached and much better prepared to play football than our bunch of fannies.

can should be the holding midfielder in front of the defence and henderson should be the mobile runner alongside a.n.other, but maybe henderson isnt fully fit, so why is klopp trying to accommodate him then...

our defence is an ongoing joke that the manager continues to fail to sort out...
still playing moreno, lovren and mignolet. trains and coaches yet does not improve them or the other players around them.
we continue to be laughable at set pieces and corners. no one knows where to stand, i cant believe someone has told firmino to stand four yards out in the middle of the goal area.

**** substitutions by the manager. origi dint get a touch or look arsed. bin him and get solanke on.
if taa had to come off then put milner or klavan as right back. needed to bring
grujic in the middle instead of gini who is almost invisible and mostly ****, or instead of henderson who is mostly **** too.

if we had enough defenders then gomez needs a loan spell to go and learn his game and sort out his mistakes elsewhere.

Agree about the fullbacks, and having TAA over Clyne in particular.

I can't help but thinking that the fast breaks and pressing up the pitch is putting a bit of a strain on the personnel at the back, it takes quite a bit of concentration. A bit like Rodgers last year where people clearly stopped working out where they were meant to be at any one time.

I don't understand this either, Can looks like the DM and we saw a few years ago in the season we finished 2nd how good Henderson could be further forward and doing his third man runs etc.

Henderson has been played in the DM role last season as well, is this because injuries have taken their toll and he can't play his old role anymore as that would be a worry.
