    Totally agree.

If we were to get someone like him in, then I would love to see us get a striker in the mould of either Lacazette or Aubamayang, depending on what style of striker was wanted, to play in the centre between Costa and Mane.

Lacazette is good shout actually, we need more width and a proper striker, best shout I've heard.

      Costa/Pulisic - Lacazetta - Mane

      Could be pretty good.
      * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

Both have moved out of our price range now - Lyon has said €70m for Lacazette.

Alternatives might be Inaki Williams (although he is a wide player), Timo Werner (RBL will want €€€ for him), Andrea Belotti (€€€€), André Silva (€€€)

A couple of long shots might be - Lukasz Teodorczyk @ Anderlecht, Kasper Dolberg @ Ajax, Moussa Dembélé @ Celtic, Embolo @ Schalke.

I think we need two pacey wide players in the summer, maybe one big signing, and one less so.

It depends on how Ojo progresses, because if Mane or a new wide player is injured, we'd need to maintain momentum, and having a third wide player to slot in, will allow us to sustain our style of play somewhat. Is there anyone out there cheapish?

getting top 4 is soo Important, If we stand a chance of getting any of these players mentioned above. Sure we could tempt a few if we got CL.

If not it will be Andros Townsend and Nathan Redmond .

Was it not a recycled L'Equipe article that brought up the potential €70m price? Pretty sure that I have seen L'Equipe quote figures from the €45 mark right up to the €70 mark.

for me, the one that we missed out on was Dembele that went from Rennes to Dortmund last summer.....

They also bought that young swedish guy this year.....

Maybe just hire their scouting team??

Lacazette is a cracking player. Has a little bit of everything needed to be a good striker. Has the sort of pace that can stretch a backline, but also has the sort of skills that work against teams that pack the backline.

Regular goalscorer for a number of seasons now, and even in his so called "bad" season last year he managed 21 league goals from 34 league games.

He is banging in the goals this season too with 18 goals in the league from 18 games played.

Didn't delve into the content but I saw quotes from Aulas (spelling) stating in the region of €70m to a club of stature (mentioned Barca + United). This could be a rehash of the summer stuff but he'll cost mega bucks and unless we are in the CL we can forget about him.

Zorc you mean - they are now seen as the club for youngsters to go so that gives them an advantage. Arsenal used to be the ones who hoovered up all the best young players but Dortmund have taken over.

The most impressive thing is the price they seem to get them for!

Dembele, Mor, Pulasic, Isak, Weigl, Guerriero, Passlack - some crop of youngsters there.

                        Weigl is brilliant as well......

                        And Mor.....

We tried for Dembele and Mor. Both of them chose Dortmund over us.

I've said in the past we need x and y players but after having some time to digest last months results if we're going to play the style we have since Klopp took over then my own conclusion is(taking into consideration the last 2 seasons) that we need two top class CBs.

I don't think this will solve our issues but it will turn around some of the results that could have gone our way in our favour. These 9-12 points extra this season would have us in a great position for the season finale.

We will always play open expansive football and the opposition will get chances against us while Klopp's in charge but we can defend against more consistently with better CBs. Considering a holding midfielder does not seem to be on the cards, this is the only logical conclusion I can come to, to stop these damning results and what fit's in with our approach. I think our current CBs are good but they have weaknesses that are exposed in this system (Matip- lack of pace, Lovren- can be erratic).

Obviously goalkeeper needs improving to but I also think Karius still deserves another chance.

It's all very well having loads of flair up top and scoring loads of goals. But the defensive side is still the bedrock on which to build from. Having a crap defence and always relying on your forwards to bail you out puts too much pressure on the whole team. We don't even have an adequate defence. We have a **** keeper. One half decent but injury prone CB in Matip. One FB playing in a new position, doing reasonably well but not a long term solution and Clyne who is steady eddie but limited in an attacking sense. The rest are not up to standard. The likes of Gomez has potential but isn't yet ready. As for the central midfield spine it is plainly obvious to just about everyone that we need a proper enforcer in centre mid to shield the lot and stop these ridiculous 50 yard run ins on goal

                                very true pal...
its been shown that even average team near the bottom of the league can play two banks of five and cancel almost all our goal threat so the chances of us winning games 4-2 or 3-1 are just a long distant memory.

we are lucky to score one, but we will almost certainly concede at least one with our piss poor leaky defence and non existent midfield.
removing all the weak links makes us stronger

too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.
