What formation do we play then? We've only got 2 forwards then a 17 year old and a load of erratic players out wide.

It ain't so much the formation, BUT a manager cannot rely on one style of play when it ain't working......dare I say it Rafa would make a tactical change as opposed to just a change of player? Early days I know but Rogers has preserved with this style of play at all previous clubs no matter what , successful or otherwise?

Neither Suarez and Gerrard are players for this system. We are a long way from being the team we want to be, although we'll improve as the season goes on.

I felt the same way. Not only did he recognise our flaws, he didn't attempt to play them down either. I'm afraid the turmoil that has characterised our fan base over the past few years will make me sound delusional or uninformed when I say this, but I think he's right. We'll improve. He does not play like a striker. I have no explanation on how he was so prolific in holland.

I may not be able to put in words clearly. But look at the way he plays the game and compare it to Torres, Owen, Fowler. It is more than just the finishing. There are differences in the spaces they occupy, the runs they make based on nothing but pure instinct and the scent for goal. I have yet to see Suarez do that.

He should start on the left or right hand side of an attacking three. Not as the main striker.
