Am not sure if it's blind faith though? Klopp didn't look happy at full time so let's hope the riot act is being read. We are good enough for top 4 we are just so mentally fragile it's unreal.

I sent my mate a text at 1-1 saying 'We've lost it mentally already'. Mental attitude played a massive part in the result today. It's a bit strange that we have a manager so mentally strong and a team so mentally weak. Needs to be addressed

The Mancs have six games left. Four of those six are away against City, Arsenal, Spurs, and Southampton. So they are either going to drop points or do damage to the other teams around us. Swansea and Palace are their other two games.


Arsenal have Spurs, the Mancs and Everton as part of their run in. They also have Stoke away and Southampton away.


So points will be dropped by those around us one way or another.


And all the teams around us cannot win all their remaining games due to all of them having to play two or more of each other.


Bad bad day for us today, but not as bleak as it may seem. Our form over the four games prior to today was a win, a draw, a win, and a win. We are well capable of doing that again over the coming four matches.

We will finish the season where we deserve to finish. Where that will be is still very much to play for.

This season has been a hard watch. Early optimism has given way to pessimism. No cup runs to keep us interested and the race for 4th has been like swimming in treacle. Our rivals for 3rd and 4th have been woeful and we could still miss out. Our great club and all we wish for is 4th. Bad times. Still think we might sneak it. The thing is i am not sure if we are really making progress. We are still mentally weak. The squad depth is piss poor. All our rivals will spend their way to the top and i fear we will fall farther behind.

I just did a quick calc here and based on Tottenham not bending over and Leicester turning up, I reckon we can still get third. In the same simulation, Burnley go down

January was the key moment IMO. It a notoriously difficult window etc etc but you can't tell me that there was nobody available, not a soul that would have helped this squad! The bench yesterday ffs, we have left ourselves so thin. Even without cup or europe we are still paper thin. I just don't buy what Klopp was saying about the Jan window, IMO I just feel that he may have underestimated the rigours of the premier league. It may not have the quality of La Liga but the physical demand of the league is unmatched. Really like Klopp but I think even he knows he made a mistake.

We need some favours, the mancs do have momentum at the moment it's actually seem more free flowing with Ibrahimovic but they also have a fixture pile up and some really difficult games. But in saying that I think I would rather us be playing likes of Chelsea, Spurs etc because the lesser sides seem to be our kryptonite.

Still a great chance for but enough of the stumbling around bull****, get 4th place nailed and done lads or we will fall behind all the big spenders.

The true Thu Sun Thu test starts now for them. Burnley was the absolute last easy game left. Swansea are fighting for their lives, not the beach. Pep will be on fire after that FA cup game.

We're in a rubbish position, anything else is deluded. We've just put 4th within reach for both Arsenal and United. They'll be champing at the bit that we've let them in, high off cup victories, whilst we're paper thin on matchday and have just flushed our form down the ****ter. If we can make it 4 wins there's a reasonable chance we nick 4th, but they won't be 4 easy wins even then it's not just up to us any more. Desperately need the Manc and North London derbies to go our way.

We're still in a strong position. Arsenal are still in sh*t form and need to win their 3 games in hand, just to get level. They played 120 mins yesterday and will be up against a well rested Leicester squad who are in good form.

United are grinding out results, but the fixture list will start catching up with them now and will most likely drop points against City.

It may not be in our hands technically, but we're still short odds on favourites with the bookies and there is a reason for that.
