Thanjk you.

It's maybe harsh and do I like the signings who have come in, but the repeated failure to do something about the centre of our defence is ridiculous. Our weakness there has been costing us for years and it will hinder us again this season.
The whole VvD saga appears to have been a cluster****. Maybe in the end Southampton were just making it too difficult, but there's no excuse for not having alternatives or knowing when to move on to them.
On the other hand, Keita is a really exciting signing and shows how we are actually capable of doing smart business. We've avoided losing out in a bun fight for him next summer and already have ourselves one step ahead of addressing the likely departures of Phil and Can next summer.
But I'm scoring on how well the window improves us for the coming season. And although we look to have improved an already brilliant attack, the problem is once again we've done nothing to fix our Achilles heel.
Keita is not better than Coutinho though and he looks a certainty to be off, much like Suarez, a year later.
Not yet maybe but he certainly appears to be the right standard of player.
Yes I know Coutinho will be gone next year, that's why I said it's good to already have another quality player coming in at the same time.
It's a transfer window that left us better now and better in the future. We did at least as well as all our direct rivals with the possible exception of United.
We have the most exciting forward line in the division. No idea how people can be so down on it.

As I explained, it didn't strengthen us in the area that's been continually letting us down for years and drastically needs improving.
I just think that it was a hard thing to do. I agree that it would be better if we had got a world class CB. But they are hard to find. I don't believe many CBs one the market would have been a significant upgrade on what we have.

I just can't believe that VvD is the only single CB that would improve us. I don't even think that a CB would even need to be world class to be an improvement on what we have. None of our current lot are anywhere near that level.
Have to say the lack of a CB signing does not really surprise me. I think Klopp has a fantastic relationship with Lovren and is happy to stick by his man this season.

It was just a comment to the thread topic in general and not your post per se.
He's definitely up to standard though. We'll need another attacking player next year IMO (to replace Phil).
