I should point out that my statement was from my perspective as a supporter...the less teams that can threaten our place in the CL next season, the better.

This should not affect the team mentality, which should be to go out and win every game, which would then negate whatever Spurs do.

Whilst it's certainly true the expectations and attitudes of supporters and players can differ a great deal, I don't think they are entirely independent. Fans are at the heart of the club's culture, so can affect expectations, motivation etc. Not minding whether Spurs beat Chelsea or vice versa is one thing, but the idea that "finishing 2nd, finishing 3rd, finishing 4th, it's all a muchness" should be something we avoid like the plague.

7 points clear of 5th now, with Chelsea playing Spurs next (start of April).

+14 goal difference on Chelsea too so that's gotta be worth another point

A Spurs Chelsea draw would be very welcome!

Be lovely if Spurs got something from them. We are in a good position to finish above both but I'd rather just get rid of Chelsea completely. Be arsed with some battle for 4th going to the last day or whatever. Bit nervous about our next two actually, two woeful sides but Palace away early after an int break is **** and naturally after having to play reserves v Utd, Spurs and Chelsea all their best players are suddenly fine again. And there's just simply no way we'll be anywhere near 100% v Everton, though they are so bad 50% might still get a win.

Tonight's result was massive. Dropping points wouldn't have been a disaster but on a cold night it could have made life a lot harder. Now any result in the Spurs v Chelsea game is sort of ok but like already said a draw would be ideal.

The only massive thing about it was the scoreline.
                          Oh I don't know.

It's a massive step for Salah in regard to chasing down goal scoring records, so I'd have to disagree

I honestly couldn't care less if we finish 2nd or 4th, qualification again after a hard campaign is all we need. ****ing off Chelsea with a few games left would be huge as we could rest playets for the final

It would be interesting if we finish 4th and Arsenal win the europa league.
                                Are we winning?
