I have been saying this for a while.Originally posted by dizzycat View PostI fully accept the need for a squad refresh, but I am really concerned at the lack of ideas regarding reorganising how we currently play to minimise our very obvious deficits. We have got to stop conceding so easily. If parking the bus and hoofing it to Salah and Nunez meant top four, I would go with that. The lack of midfield pace doesn't work with our high defensive line
We also have our front players going too deep when we are trying to counter the bus parkers.
They need to come closer to the midfield so they can play 1-2's around the opposition box and get into a shooting position like city do.
The only time we should be playing long crosses into the box is if we're hitting the other team on the break.removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

Pep explains how he has taken Jurgen on a journey of enlightenment, teaching him all about humility and integrity wrapped in a blanket of intensity. Pep has shown the players the future of pressing football and they embraced it to a man. Except Robbo. He apparently said 'get tae ****, it's joost running aboot'Originally posted by BootRoom View PostI haven't read the book (and don't intend to) so can anybody who has explain how its contents have lead to the marked fall-off in work rate of the team? Given the melodramatic reactions it has engendered it must be be pretty explosive stuff.
Pretty much that.

I read some of it but couldn’t finish because it’s not a proper book.
Just a quite repetitive jumble of his diary notes.
It did give insight into their deliberate intention to evolve how the team plays and change the patterns of play to suit situations where opponents bus pro with a low block constantly.
I don’t think the book has anything to do with the poor form in the slightest.
Covid ****ed the team transition because it limited investment for a season or two with reduced revenue and we have been caught by this at CB and now in midfield.Y.N.W.A!!!!!!

..Citeh's revenues and profit seem to have bounced back remarkably well since Covid. I bet Newcastle's will be the same. Open chequebook time for them.Originally posted by Corndog View PostI read some of it but couldn’t finish because it’s not a proper book.

Sadly, FSG have been negligent again and didn't learn from the defensive issues we had last time. Pure profit-focus.

It's not that the book directly caused our current demise, I think anyone has claimed it has done.Originally posted by Corndog View PostI read some of it but couldn’t finish because it’s not a proper book.

It's just an incredibly crass thing to do in the first place. You're still employed, you're haven't retired and stepped away, you're directly involved in what we're trying to achieve and probably paided hansomly. But going around followed by the cameras, giving your own book away to the players and manager is so incredibly self congratulatory and smug. By all accounts it's a **** book anyway. If we were flying at the top of the league, he could walk around the training complex with his cock out singing Let it Be at the top of his voice whilst balancing a ball on his nose for all I care. The problem is, we are now ****. He is massively involved in us being **** since he's assistant manager. In fact he has far too much influence for me and if he's responsible for our current slow play he needs sacking now. The book and the general look at me aspect has now come to bite him on the arse. It makes him and us look stupid. Assistant's are invaluable but rarely excel in the spotlight. He needs to know his place and get us ticking again.Always borrow money from a pessimist. He won’t expect it back. Oscar Wilde

Of course they are, it's what they said at the time when the bought the club. None of us complained then.Originally posted by Tribute View Post..Citeh's revenues and profit seem to have bounced back remarkably well since Covid. I bet Newcastle's will be the same. Open chequebook time for them.

City and Barcodes will never have this situation because they are not a business, they are a minor expense, designed to put 2 very wealthy countries in the shop window, whatever the cost, for them it is worth it.
It is 2 completely different situations.
FSG want to make money, not waste it.Those that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.
Those that killed her, were following the law.
