I commented on his slow start and hoped he would get better. He is definately much improved. My other concerns were regarding where he will play, still not sure on that to be honest, could play the Firmino role if we stick to the same system, I am wondering if Klopp has a new system in mind from next year and where he will play in that.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.
I thought he looked unsure of where to stand or run in his first couple of games, but it was clear he had a very good touch and could read the game.
Most players have a bit more time in training, so it is understandable. He just needed time to get used to the team and adapt to his role in it. I think Klopp started him in midfield too, which cant have helped.
I think the physicallity may have taken him a couple of weeks to get used to as well.
I think he is top class, tbh.

I take exception to that. I've never really stopped moaning about Nunez
Yeah, he will struggle to start games is Diaz and Gakpo are fit, imho. I think there is a massive gap and he doesnt yet fit the system that we know works as well as Diaz and Gakpo (or even Jota, who has had to adapt too).
I do think he will be more useful as an out and out striker, but I am not sure I have seen us make best use of the formation without a false nine dropping back like Firmino and Gakpo. But what it does give us is potentially a strong plan B if we can reorganise the rest of the team to exploit his height and pace through the middle. But to do that we would need to sit back a bit and hit on the break. As it currently stands we never get space in behind unless the game opens up to the point our own defence starts to look all over the place.

Gakpo reminds me a lot of Gini in the way he was able to receive balls to feet in tight spaces and use his body to fend off the opposition. Once he turns and works an opening, he rockets off so must have pretty good acceleration
Like Gini, he also hardly ever seems to waste possession

He reminds me a little bit of Rivaldo ….. it’d be great if he turns out that good
