Yes, i think Gakpo in the false 9 has a positive impact on the team. With a quality 6 and Gakpo pushed further up, that will help us a lot.

Clearly Klopp fecked up a bit with the team. We were all expecting Jones to start instead of Jota for balance. That should have been the team it's not hindsight.

But we didn't lose and Ben Doak dislodged Salah! That's never happened. Hope we see more of Ben. And Salah obviously.

Possession stats for long lengths of that were shocking. The sort of possession we used to inflict on the League's cannon foddder at our peak.

We looked good until Chelsea created something, then fell apart. Mentally, we appear to be quite weak, as we have been for a while now.

On the bright side we should blow away a few sides away this year, but I can't see us challenging City at all without some experienced quality recruits.

In terms of transfers its difficult to say what's going on especially with Ward and Edwards gone in short order and we have a temp worker directing transfers.

Organizational health at thr club seems poor.

For the starting 11, it seema that it was really a choice between Gakpo and Jones. He's watching them in training everyday and had to decide who would play out of position.
