You're right. Let's all spin into a downward spiral of despair, being the holders of the league cup, 2nd in the league (on goal difference) and likely in the UEFA cup semis with a great first team squad, stable owners, stable finances and a cohort of excellent home grown players that every club in the country - and probably Europe - would be envious of. It's all **** and we're all going to die.Originally posted by Mr Pink View Post
I don’t know why people are turning their nose up to the FA cup. Ya the league is soooo much bigger than anything else we’re in, but we’d come so far, I dont know why people are putting a positive spin on this.
Sorry man, but I had to

I'm sure everybody would take that, but things usually don't go as smoothly as that.Originally posted by Rich View PostThat 5 on 2 was embarrassing. Special shout out to Salah who was extremely wasteful today.
If losing today means we pick up the other two trophies then I’m all for that.

I know, but that’s what they do at least once a year since they stopped being good. It’s great, it hurts more when reality sinks in again.Originally posted by Venton View PostI don't think they will but that's not the point. FFSThe only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Or get injured. (I know my job).

I’m not in despair- I’m not saying we’re having a bad season or that the season is gonna turn to **** now. We’re still in a great position, and I’ve said it in the past that I’d take the league ahead of a cup treble, any day of the week.
I’m just saying that it’s a bit immature to push the “ohh we didn’t want to with the FA cup anyway” narrative, now that we’re out. We had a great chance at winning it, and I don’t think at this stage the 1 extra game would impact us in the league. If we had gone out to Arsenal then that narrative would be fair enough. We left it behind us today, and it sucks- it would have been a trophy worth winning is all I’m saying.I don't tip

ok fella. I don't think anyone is saying we didn't want to win it - of course we did, but since we won't - well it's not a big deal - lot's of old men on here declaring the end of the world, or at least end of the season. Might be their last chance to win the FA Cup, in fairness.Originally posted by Mr Pink View PostI’m not in despair- I’m not saying we’re having a bad season or that the season is gonna turn to **** now. Says very little about the rest of the season.

Because it means more when you’re in it, and we aren’t in it. And what’s the point of being down about being out of the third priority competition for the season when we’ve won the fourth and are still in the first and second? I don’t know, my standards aren’t that high, and it’s done, can’t be changed now.Originally posted by Mr Pink View Post
