Maybe we're all wrong and he's right. I dare say he's forgotten more about football than the likes of I know but i think he's wrong here. From the sounds of that we're dominating games and unluckily losing games with a low xG but that's absolutely not the case.

I don’t think the £400m spend is necessarily the issue going forward. Top quality setups only reach their potential with top-quality people in key roles. Right now we have the setup, the squad is more than capable, but maybe not the person to fully bring it to life. That said, there is another part of me that feels this criticism is a bit harsh. He’s come from a league that’s nowhere near the level of the Premier League and still managed to achieve something nobody expected. He clearly has talent, potential, and a lot to learn, which is fair enough. But the reality is that Liverpool isn’t really the kind of club where you learn on the job, not these days. When these snowballs start to roll, they don’t usually stop, unfortunately.

Great post. If you look at at it as the money/stats men getting us set up for a post-Salah team, they've done their job. It's the coach that must train, blend and pick the team. He might be somewhat taken aback by Salah's true plummet in form but he's got to figure it out. Watching him figure it out in real time is either painful or proof he can't. I don't know which way I am tbh.
