I remember having many arguments at the match with morons who used to boo him. From day 1 i've always thought he would make it eventually.

I've never felt so ashamed to be a Liverpool fan when he was subbed on, i think to replace Alonso (not sure) and huge echo's of Boo's came from everywhere.

The bloke next to me started, and i told him one day he would live to regret that.

In fact I remember some of the abuse he got on here after the Tottenham game on the first day of the season. I think we lost 2-0 or 2-1.

He went away that summer, beefed up and got subbed on again in one of the first few games of the following season, which i think may have been wigan? Again to boo's. He'd cut his hair, and the next thing I remember is him absolutely smashing someone in a tackle sending the lad flying.

Love the lad's attitude, it could have been so easy to just pack in and go elsewhere. But it shows if you stick at it, you can do it eventually.

It's perfectly understandable, but he's way off at the moment isn't he. His level was incredibly high at the time he got injured but he's miles off. Can't see him being back to what he was until next season.

Sadly I agree. He looks like he hasn't played for a year. Hoping playing time will help back to his before the end of the season though.

Sadly I think that is likely to be the case for alot of our players at the moment.

IIRC they used to say it takes as many months to get back to your best as your were out injured. Either that or he is the next Essien.

Very poor at the moment, I think he's going to take a while to get back to the level he was playing at before the injury.

I hope he can get there though as we really need him back to his best
