Have not really being following this thread but Carra obviously has quite the role to play at this football club both on the field and off it

no one better to be our next manager. the boot room, re-born
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

I think his comments and his recommendation for our manager very much make me doubt that.Originally posted by baitman View Post

Who says he goes straight into management, he can go on the coaching staff, work his way through the ranks and if he is good enough, get a chance to have the dream job in the world of Football to manage the Legendary Liverpool Football Club ....
Its not either or, there are several shades of grey inbetween, much like our starting 11, its not you are in it you are great you are not you are ****, sometimes the better players seat on the bench, its all about the squad, at the moment, Carra's place in the "squad" is on the bench, does not make him any less of a great player ... Like all of the other years ... I'm not writing him off just yet

Just did a wee bit of wiki research on Wright to see how his managerial career went. Apparently he had to leave two jobs after racist allegations. I didn’t know that.Originally posted by Rich View PostDear lord, someone have a word with Wright.
We have the best defence in the league. Agger and Skrtel have been excellent since they've started playing together. If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

I think the problem is that Carra's footballing philosophy appears to be more Hodgsonesque than is comforting to many of us. Unless his views change substantially I wouldn't look forward to watching a team he managed.Originally posted by MrNice View PostWho says he goes straight into management, he can go on the coaching staff, work his way through the ranks and if he is good enough, get a chance to have the dream job in the world of Football to manage the Legendary Liverpool Football Club ....

He may well turn out to be a good coach but I would fear he would be very much in the old school British tradition. I think we need to learn something from the ideas expounded by Cruyff and Spanish football and look to a more technique based and tactically sophisticated future."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."
