decent season but has suffered due to our lack of quality in the squad meaning he has been played right and left mid were he has looked well, woeful at times.

for me - our problem on the whole is, we have too many 'squad' players in the first team, and too many **** players on bench who shouldn't be here.

meireles still has plenty to offer but in my opinion he should be cover for gerrard or used in the centre when we maybe need something more creative than what lucas offers - we shouldn't be playing him left or right mid and hopefully two or three signings this summer will put an end to it

I'm sure I read - and this doesn't need to be a secret - that he shaved his hair off for some strange reason. Possibly something to do with the English weather I think?! I think he said that his daughter shaved it off for him?!

Why not, his value has increased and where going to be overloaded with players with limited games.

You don't potentially spend 20m on henderson not to have him in the starting 11. Lucas and Gerrard in the middle. How would you accommodate a player like Raul. You can't leave him on the bench for long periods of the season.

Cant we just have a good squad for once rather than worrying about selling anyone who might not start every single game?

Fair question. The players who perform the best get the places. It's not necessarily easy to predict who that would be from that lot and the competition would certainly be healthy. Anyone frozen out and pissed off can leave in Jan if needs be.
