Brad Smith, our left back, was also very, very good. Can't wait for the next game, much better than the dreary U21Stuart-Pearce driven drivel.
When is the next game? also did any of the other LFC lads play?
    We come not to play.

As comfortable on the ball as ANY current LFC player. Fabulous talent.
I have one word to offer - honesty. I couldn't be devious if I tried. Joe Fagan.

He is, but you have to consider the age of the opposition surely? I think he's going to be a World beater, but there's a big difference between U17 and Premiership.

The match report also said he thumped a 20 yarder against the post too. Is that right?

Not checked our next game, but we've got Uruguay and Canada in the group.

The lads that started for us were Brad Smith (lb), Sterling (lm), Cousins (rb). Adam Morgan came on for the last 10 minutes or so. And Matty Regen replaced Smith at lb due to an injury. Smith and Sterling were oustanding.

Sterling man of the match easily.

ps. as we're all finding things to love about Sterling: I love the fact he's black.

                That's the downside.

I was ed out by 10 minutes. First 5 minutes he made the left back feel like a mug and got fouled 2 times for dangerous (and inevitably wasted) free kicks around the area. Also got a corner.

Then on 10 minutes got a good lay on 3 yards outside the box so laced the ball with pace and precision rattling the post. Rwanda tried double teaming after about 30 minutes but, much like Southend trying the same, he just found new ways to dribble around them. Nothing came of it but the danger was always there.

But its not his dribbling, its his spatial awareness and strength which often gets overlooked. He is the COMPLETE player, reads the game, processes it and produces quality end product as a direct result. Had he played in the U21 tonight England would have gone through. Forget the other speedy pretenders.

The shot that hit the post was a stunner too, plus he played the lobbed through-ball for the first goal.

normally i would never say that being black could be considered a down side. but when bugchief says it's not, he makes a damn strong case for it being one.

Special talent, can't wait to see him in first team in action.

As an aside, every international tournament should be staged in Mexico!
