As an aside, every international tournament should be staged in Mexico!

Here's just his highlights on the Rwanda game

"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.

Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

          Racist.
          3rd place. Worst champions ever.

You can't use top level football to judge kids levels mate, very different game. As the commentator said, most WC champions at that level come from Africa.

True. England seem pretty consistent at all levels mind you

I think this is a genuine concern. It's about how to get players to play with confidence - if bigger, stronger players are allowed by referees to bully them then it is harder for them to play.

He is very small, even when he came out in the U17 England team he looked like a 13 year old.

But as he started dictating the play you could see players visibly shrink around him. Whenever they tried to outmuscle him, he would put his Dalglish-ar*e in the way or just knock the ball two yards ahead and run. Easily the most fouled player on the pitch.

Two things of note: 1) he knows he will be barged/fouled so he plays accordingly, 2) he has a great low centre of gravity and reasonably thickish thighs and obviously the pace to burn. I’m thinking Maradona/Messi here.

Lets not get too far ahead of ourselves here.
We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I knew that would be misinterpreted. He's nowhere as good as those two and I doubt he ever can be (who can?). I was talking thighs and centre of gravity.

Live in the UK mate, so don't know what you mean.

Was just making the point that tournaments look better in Mexico. '70 and '86 were awesome to watch on TV, this looks the same.

Anyway, back on topic, well done Raheem!
