Me too, I thought giving him some minutes would have been a good idea.
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Difference between Sterling and Downing is ridiculous. Almost every time he gets the ball in an advanced position (Close to the penalty area), he makes things happen. Whether it is winning a free-kick or ghosting past a player and putting in a cross he just gets the crowd going. We've been crying out for this kind of player. I really hope he is our player for a long time because he is such a talent.

There is no point of comparing them.

They are from 2 completely different planets.

Lol. Kinda true though, Sterling is impressive enough we should actually be comparing him with people who are good

Let's hope we don't **** up his contract negotiations and end up losing him.

I'd like to have imagined that our £20m winger may have seen the performances of this young upstart as the gauntlet being thrown down, a challenge. Doesn't seem like it, seems as though perhaps Downing feels the pressure on him is relieved.

he's gonna bring out the half time oranges

What's particularly impressive apart from the obvious skill on the ball and workrate is the way he never shield away from being physical. He's happy to go shoulder to shoulder with anyone and gives as good as he gets which is a big surprise for his age and his build.

As is often the case he may find next season more difficult when everyone knows what he's about.

Finally, a purpose for him. Hopefully he won't drop them...
