He said the Kop sang a song for him, anyone any ideas what it was?

It was just a simple 'one Raheem Sterling...' unless there was another I didn't hear.

He tortured Man City today with his forward play and pressing, the boy seems to have a good level of game intelligence for his age too.

            Wow, quick work Mos, cheers

At such a young age we should be really pleased with how he has done today, and he was probably our best attacking outlet, but am inclined to believe it's the lack of quality wide players we've suffered from that made this performance look any more than another small step forward. Reminds me of the same sort of level play we saw from Florent Sinama Pongolle when he broke through, whether he develops into more than that obviously only time will tell.

Can anyone who watches the younger lads more keenly tell me can we expect to see him beat players with good close control in tight situations, or does he rely more on using his pace running into space? What would people say are his strengths and weaknesses?

He certainly took up good positions to receive the ball. Picked a few very nice balls out too, the one for Borini at 0-0 especially.

If he stays he'll get few cameo appearances in PL, probably few games in CC and FA and maybe one or two in EL.

I think it would be better if he is loaned to medium to low ranking PL club (or Championship club) where he can get first team football on regular basis.

He needs to play if he really wants to develop and I am afraid this year if stays he won't get too much playing time.

Nah, FSP had a couple of tricks. Sterling was actually producing something with his tricks. I would say there is a big difference between the two of them. I dont remember such incisive dribbling from FSP. He was quick and had a couple of tricks while standing on the ball, but could not produce much with it. Sterling was actually banging in some good crosses. Says something when the 17 year old plays the whole match.

Remember also that this is against the league champions. He is putting in the performance that we saw Macca when he first came through, but at a younger age. Only Fowler looked more awesome in his first couple of games. Worked hard and won a few tackles too.
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

If there was another then it wouldn't really work.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

He's going to be a good player. His defensive awareness is stunning for a young player. Cracking talent.
                      Are we winning?

Yeah I really like how he mucks in with the defensive side of things.

Obviously he wouldn't be in a Rodgers team if he shirked such responsibilities.

Impressed so far, but he's still only promising.

Andy Goram was comfortable with the concept.

I fully expect spurs to put a bid in for about £10m just watch. Has he been tied down to a long term deal yet?
