Was it?Originally posted by Shaggy View PostIt's exciting isn't it.
Amid all the praise he's been getting in the media, I haven't one single pundit mention that it was Rafa who brought him to the club.
I always thought it was Kenny.

raheem sterling, saviour of LFC.
i do like the lad, and always thought we should get him in the team as opposed to playing the alternative
a few were saying that maybe he was too young, not ready, not strong enough, not fertile enough
removing all the weak links makes us stronger
too many gutless players, no beef or desire. pussies everywhere... sack them all.

For sure. Potential talent rarely blossoms into full blown talent. That's my excuse why I never made it anyway!Originally posted by Shaggy View PostAlmost every youth signing a manager makes doesn't work out, in terms of them going on to being a first team regular.

He picked up on the same thing I mentioned few times as well, which is his ability to pass.Originally posted by Alex View PostYep, watched that. Neville seems to rate him. I don't know if that's good for his England prospects or not
On a side note, my phone auto corrects his name to Rajeev Steering. **** knows why.Member #1 of the Luis Suarez fan club

Probably more down to our scouting dept ........ Or lack of it this summer more likely.Originally posted by red g View PostI wonder how much we can credit Brendan Rodgers and his coaching staff for Sterlings upturn in fortunes?
It would appear he seems a total different player to last season.

Ahem, *cough.Originally posted by Shaggy View PostDid anyone see Gary Neville doing a section on MNF last night, after the match? Someone tweeted in and asked why Sterling and Lallana were in ahead of Lennon and, er, someone else. He ignored Lallana and the two overlooked players and just talked about Sterling, showing loads of his "best bits" and highlighting his qualities. Completely convinced he's the real deal, he is.
Why did you need Gary Neville to tell you that, I told you last year he was a player and had absolutely everything
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.
